I didn't pay any attention to Dubai until very recently so I didn't know the Emir was so horrible. Can this story be true? Has the daughter not been seen since last year? The princess' friend spoke with BBC so I'm guessing there's a lot of truth to her story.

Princess Latifa asked guards to shoot her rather than return her to Dubai during her doomed attempt to flee the royal family, according to the friend who fled with her

It is true. Althou the official Dubai version is that she is mentally ill. The rumor is that Princess Haya fleed her husband their father when she found out that it was true.
An this i found very funny, hard to believe she was living more than a decade in Dubai and she doesn't know the real story of Shamsa and Latifa so either the two Sheikhas problems is mental or generation clash with dad, there is no way that Haya is not very well informed with their real sittuation imo.

I still think that her daughter had something to do with it/was her main reason for fleeing.
Most likely..
i think this is the only reasonable thought (although i wont say no the cheating rumours too)
But my guess she was happy to stand and watch all the traditions be apllied to the other family girls but once that come to her own daughter she was scandalised and as happy i am she is standing for Al Jalila i can't but despise her double standards

I would not assume that the different wives and their families live together as one happy family. It is likely that they have their own households and live seperately, having not too much to do with each other. There are worlds of difference in lifestyle  between Haya, who lives and travels freely and is in the public eye a lot, and his first wife of whom we know nothing, and of whom there is no photograph. But I nevertheless wonder, if Latifa has psychological issues.

ITA. Basically Haya picked out the good peas for herself as long as it lasted, not thinking much about those, who got the bad ones.

Buying the world's greatest racehorses doesn't come cheap, but even the industry's most knowledgeable experts were "blown away" by the 3.6 million guineas (about $4,356,000) spent on this year's most expensive yearling colt.

The young horse, the subject of a fierce bidding war, was eventually bought by Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who visited Tattersalls October Yearling Sale in Newmarket, England Tuesday to ensure he secured the sport's next potential superstar.

This is true Princess Latifa confirms this in her viedo, that she lives with her mother and sister in a aplace. They, Latifa her mother and sister seems to live in the Palace at Al Wasl road opposite Galleria Mall. Tina cofirmed this when she sent a an open letter to Latifas mother at this adress. Also Hervé talks in his book about that the palace was close to the beach, had a big garden and was close to the mall. Haya lived in a Villa I read somewhere.

The fact that they live in different places (wich is normal BTW)
Doesn't mean they are totally ignorant about each other lives....in the end they live in same city and married to the same guy..
and i even add Haya knows everything the " say " she left because she descovered what happen to Latifa is silly imo.

A controversial child custody battle involving one of the world’s richest and most secretive royal dynasties taking place this week, the activists say, could unlock the mystery behind Dubai’s missing princesses.

I doubt that it will help Latifa and her other sister (sorry forgot the name), in any way.

Quite the contrary I can see Mo getting more angry on loosing against Haya and taking it out on them.

I don't know why ppl are making this about Latifa and Shamsa?  it's not
For Haya definitely it's not about them just her and her kids she care only if their story can help her case. If she have any evidence about their fate she will use it for her own gain not to save them imo

Exactly. But to be fair to Haya, I don't believe she means any harm either and wouldn't want deliberately for them to get hurt.
