so did Carina, she seemed to cry a lot while Richard's coffin was carried to the car. And at one point grabbed Bene's hand.

Not trying to knock Bene, but she was certainly all business

Which fits right into Richard's description on her Wink

I think perhaps it's just her way. I think she and Richard loved each other very much in the own way but I she's definitly not th etype to wear her emotions on her sleeves. Funnily enough the children all seem to be.

That's what made it all the more apparent to me. Even if Bene had a hanky in her hand it would have been a little more touching. Not that she has to act, but I think you all know what I'm trying to say.

Fred did attend - He walked into the church right after his parents ... and then came Mary right after him. Jokke and Marie walked together, but I guess Mary had business to do you know: "did the photographers see me"? And so ...  Tongue

I remember Benedikte being very emotional at her mother's funereal and crying openly. But certainly, judging from what Richard has said about her in interviews, she is a cold fish. Her father, Frederik 9., said of Benedikte that she was the most royal of all his daughters. I wonder what he meant by that. That she was, as above mentioned, "all business"?

Leaving the church Carina lost her shoe, fred and mosh hand in hand, and Konstantin looking VERY frail. Will he be the next to go? I didn't see Madeleine.

I think that some people hold grief in, if you see what I mean, when in public. Others don't.

My sister & I did not weep when we buried our mother, and there are certainly also photos of people smiling & even laughing at the funeral & reception afterwards as we reminisced & remembered her life.

I guess I'm saying people react differently...
