I like Charlotte's gown but I can count every one of her rib bones.  Yikes

IMO Charlotte is only attractive nothing like her mother was at her age.  I agree with the person who said she can't wear that type of dress or just the bust because she doesn't have any breasts.  You can see her rib bones and her face is to thin.  She looks almost anorexic.  Carolines dress would have looked better on her.

Well, THAT at least explains the horror ...

http://orderofsplendor.bl...ress-of-day-march-20.html

BUT ... if fashion needs an explanation and does not speak for itself, it is most definitely a big FAIL.

I always found Klimts pictures overwhelming, and that was also my first thought when I saw Caroline in this frilled nightmare: overwhelming

Well, in my personal experience - for what it worth - Princesse Caroline does not really need a presence or an absence of anyone to be a factual glamour of a Monegasque event. Already it's been pointed out here, she's still a star to the press with no saturation point in view...

As to a silly domination struggle in Monaco some tabloids keep feeding us about, again in my own understanding of certain - shall we say mechanisms? if Caroline wanted indeed her nuclear family to reign supreme in that rocky piece of land, the operator would've been nowhere near the position she's occupying now.

That said, I don't put myself in the class of visioneast? vigilancy? visitatives? vicinity?!! Oh, damn googles translators!  Angry But you've got the gist I trust...  Cool

The monegash people  do not matter this bling bling bal de la Rose, the workers in the banks, in the Casino or sellers in shops have not enough money to be present to this bal de la rose

There were less people attending to this bal de la Rose, and FightAids  gala of Stephanie raised more money than this grotesque bal de la Rose, ?Princess Caroline don't attrackt anymore the people as the last years, Caroline is no more the most glamour of the principality nor her  children.

The Red Cross gala is already full, it is more classy and worthy with the presence of the princely couple and fightAids gala is very important because the monegash people love the Princess Stephanie more than the princess Caroline. times changed

In my experience the Monegasque people are fiercely proud and protective of all the members of the Princely Family.

They may well find Stephanie more down to earth and approachable than Princess Caroline but they admire her very much and the work she has done and still does for the Principality.

Personally, I think she still has star quality - Charlene may now become leading lady (as she should be) but I don't think Caroline's days are done quite yet.

As to Rose Ball vs Red Cross Gala - there's room for both. Both raise funds for worthy causes.

The people don't have a good view of Monaco because they don't live in the country. they read what the medias are  writting and believe them

Apart the bal de la Rose, we will not see her anymore at  a gala or at a big event on Monaco, Bal de La  Rose is a big show fo her and her children , and the medias are doing a lot about it her. Charlene and Stephanie are more present than her. Stephanie is more loved than her sister by the people of Monaco   she is appreciated for her work with the fightAids and the Maison de vie. Charlene is also present  at a lot of  big events as the  grand prix , the TV festival, the receptions at the palace where Albert and Charlene receive the people of sport, of cinema , the Red Cross gala , the Princess Grace awards gala in NyC

Charlene is the princess consort, the mother of the heirs what is important for the monegash people and Caroline is less and less popular now.

When I said from my experience that's what I meant - what I've been told by people who live in Monaco and Monegasque citizens who no longer live there. I wasn't referring to what I've read.

So based on that I shall respectfully disagree that she is less loved. Like I said, she's less approachable and she's certainly "grand" and very aware of her position but they admire her for what she's done in the past when her mother died, for how she coped when she was widowed and for everything she has done, and continues to do for culture in the principality.

Yes, everyone has a soft spot for Stephanie and admires her work and  they have largely taken Charlene to their hearts especially because of her mothering skills and her growing role with her charity work.

I've also heard great things said about Elisabeth de Massy and her daughter as well as Pierre Casiraghi.

Of course, Albert's family is the central one and Caroline is less important (she's a 60 year old grandmother apart from anything) but she's still part of Albert's back up team.

So yes, the Bal de la Rose is totally different to other events and yes, it Caroline's thing and yes, it's a bit extravagant but it has its place and it also raises money for a good cause. Personally, I like the costume side of it - I think it's harmless fun. They're only clothes after all!

I think it's great that such a small place can have support such a wide range of different interests and that each member of the family has their "area of expertise".

Hello the Invisible ones!  Secret Thanks a bunch for your 'likes' - just so I do not seem an utterly useless contributor Sad be it my fifteen secs or three stars. Went briefly through the thread myself with generous 'likes' so now feel a much better fellow poster and all that.  Blush

Right, the matter in hand then:

/quote/ This family lacks class and taste... /quote/

Agree up to a point, but for the life of me can't see much class, taste or regal conduct anywhere else in the modern royal circles...  Blink
