As many of you know Mathilde and Maxima often wear the same (kind) of outfits, often from Natan. See also the royals in same outfit topic here on RD. In my opinion it was time for a topic of their own (and including other family members)

The thing that amazes me is Max and Mathilde can wear the same outfit to an event and half of their wardrobe is the same but nobody will mistake one for another or say one is a copycat because both ladies have (even wearing the same or very similar) their own style, strong defined personality and total confidence  Beer

What amazes me most when seeing them together is that Mathilde is 20 months younger than Max. You'd never think that.

This is  aging without a decent PS. But she does dress very old as well.

She also has a hairstyle that is much too old for her.  I think that if she stopped wearing her hair like a 70 year old woman, she'd look much younger.

It’s not aging as much as it’S styling, if you ask me.

Mathilde is actually quite stunning. IMO, she has a great similarity to Grace Kelly, lookwise. But for some reason which I completely fail to understand, she tries with all her might to look lile she’s in her mid-late 70’ies. And she’s only 44. It’s the horrible, fugly hairstyle and her complete inability to dress in clothes that flatters her.

I really want to like her but it annoys the living daylights out of me. This isn’t “dressing conservative”. Max has many of the same pieces and noone says that about her. It’s because Mathilde actively tries to convince the world that she’s 30 years her own senior. Seriously, stand up straight and dress your age, woman!

She’s one of the frumpiest people ever!

Matilde is what we call nata vecchia, born old.
Probably in 20 years we will say look, matilde looks always the same, not a day older.

That is the question: would you rather look old in your prime or ageless in your old age???🤔🤔🤔🤔

I want to look the exact same age that I am. Which is 31. When I’m 44, I want to look 44. Not older - just my actual age.

But then, I’m usually judged to be younger than I am, based on my looks. Not how I dress (I just dress like everyone else my age) but I just have a young face. If people actually judge me to look my age, I’ll wear it as a badge of honour! Because, I can tell you, being 26 and people repeatedly mistaking you for one of your 15yo pupils SUCKS! “Where’s the teacher?” Um, over here!

These days, I wear every smiling wrinkle and my first couple of grey hairs with pride. Smiley I’ve owned them all.
