Very lovely.  Smiley Although she's still a child and maybe a bit too young for this kind of headdress, the appearance of this young girl was most delightful every day - and much better than many of the adults'.

And with regard to Fergie - I am quite sure that Bea and Eug will never - never - never age that badly. So coming generations will be spared that kind of devastated sights.
She looks older than 9 but from the age of ten, girls have to follow more or less the ladies dress code. So I guess they just went with the official children's dress code for her to avoid problems. Details can be found here: https://www.ascot.co.uk/r...tyle-guide#royalenclosure

You can say what you want about Fergie, but she can't be blamed for stupid cosmetic surgeries and overuse of botox and fillers as some other royals.

Royalfan, you made a point here!  Star

I loathe cosmetic surgeries and overuse of treatment, and I think it's sad that animated faces with traces of a lived life will rarely be seen in particular circles anymore.

But if her life wouldn't have been so unsteady, if she had taken more care of herself and lived in a healthier way, she would look not so rough, but just ... nicer!  Smiley

That's why I am predicting her daughters aging in a more gentle way. Their lives could be happier and more consistent than their mother's.

It's a pure assumption that people aging badly don't have surgeries or treatments. Surgeries or treatments might have gone badly or might not work for certain people due to their genetics or lifestyle. Exhibit A: Mary of Denmark. She had plenty of surgeries and treatments but she still looks 20 years older than her age. Both Max and Kate have Botox but it can only works to a certain degree because the lines are too deep to completely smooth out. Fergie might have had a face-lift but it didn't work because of her lifestyle and genetics. Alcohol, sun and whatever addiction she has are terrible for the skin.

I am not confident with Bea's and Eugene's future. Both their parents age badly. Time will tell.

my fav of Eugenie

Yes, that's my fav of Eugenie too. (But even if she dresses weirdly, I like her. She is one of my favourite royals. I could could cuddle her ...)

I have a bit of a soft spot for Eug as well, maybe because she reminds me a lot of my daughter

A lot of the problem with Eug and her clothes is that she's cursed with the Queen Mum's build - big busted, wide hipped, and tends to heaviness (both she and Bea will have to fight that all their lives; take it from someone who knows!) - and she doesn't take that into account, wearing things that aren't suitable to her body type.

It's not so much her sartorial taste (which is actually somewhat conservative, unlike some of Bea's crazy choices), but her inability to look in the mirror and see how something just doesn't work.

I will always find it amazing that these people (not just the ladies) who have access to the best duds and the best advice, and still make horrendous choices.

This dress is really beautiful but too tight on her arms.

So, Eugenie is the Queen Mum incarnate
And  Bea is  Queen Victora.
I wonder what HM and Andrew think about that. He has always been her favorite.

Bea is Queen Victoria because of her eyes? Just wondering what you meant.  ITA about Eugenie being the Queen Mum

Sorry to say but Fergie is a nut case   Nerves and what's up with her belt? why she didn't buckled up properly?   Crazy

I was utterly  Shocked  when the first picture of Fergie came up.  She truly looks just plain awful/ghastly.    Still holding hands with her daughters, maybe it's a cultural thing but she's the only one who seems to constantly hang on to one of her girls' hand, at least in the pictures I've seen of them together.

I think she means, in many ways, Bea resembles a young Victoria..... its difficult since I don't believe there are any actual photos of her in her 20s and portraiture was often very "flattering", but the likeness is very strong (and yes, especially in her eyes)

I don't think it's a cultural thing at all - I think it's about the criminally irresponsible spendthrift Fergie maintaining a (very literal) tight grip on her lifelong meal tickets. Dead Odious woman.

Well said; her daughters are HRH Princesses of the United Kingdom and she will always be their mother. It represents clinginess and desperations, not affection.

Exactly. Which is why I sometimes feel sorry for the York sisters. It's not their fault their parents are cracked.

One other photograph of Sheikha Al Jalila bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.  She ascended the podium to receive the trophy from Princess Eugenie.

Sheikha Al Jalila is quite a poised young lady.

Also, she has worn some lovely hats to Ascot this year & this one is both fashionable & fun!

For the most part, Sarah doesn't bother me too too much. BUT--she clearly cherishes these moments when she can pretend she's Royal again and in public she always clings to Beatrice--so obviously this one day at Ascot was probably the highlight of her entire summer--and she was still just so disheveled! Those pictures were from the beginning of the event for crying out loud!  Why is it so hard to get polished up? There must be someone at Harrods who could FIX THIS.

I like Bea's dress but the purse doesn't match, I would wear it during winter, not in summer and not with a dress like this.
