The spokesman of Kensington Palace officially confirmed that Meghan Markle will spend the Christmas with Prince Harry and the royal family at Sandringham House.

Meghan Markle will attend Christmas morning service at St. Mary Magadalene Church with the royal family.

The Queen has made an exception for Meghan Markle by inviting her to join Christmas festivities at Sandringham, although she is not married to Prince Harry yet.

I noticed there was no thread for the Queen's Christmas message, so I thought it best to go in this general 2017 BRF Christmas topic.

The Queen delivered her annual Christmas broadcast yesterday which is directly below. Below that is an interesting program on the history of the development of audio and televised messages from the royal family to the people of the Commonwealth.

I just watched her speech.  Loved her humor!  She looked lovely, and the brooch was the perfect touch.  However, I sensed a certain sadness, almost a...well, finality there.  What did y’all think?

Not really... she had to mention some solemn issues and as always I was impressed by her measured delivery and the breadth of topics she had to touch upon in the brief time allotted.

However, for myself, I have that sense that "blessings brighten as they take their flight" and it seems more precious each time I see Her Majesty lately as the year's events roll predictably by.

Long may she reign Smiley
