I know - but it’s nothing to laugh about. I hope The Queen remains on the throne until she’s, at least, well past 100. As a Dane, I am dreading King Mosh.

Sorry I should have left the emoji off. (I changed it) I just find it all very strange. Perhaps he will mature and step up when the time comes or you're right it seems like King Mary will take over. If she isn't already.

So, are you saying that Mary is a hard worker?  I'm confused here because she's actually not. You just see her more often.

He needs to sober up and get a spine.  He allows this to happen, and based on his appearance, he doesn't care about much of anything other than partying.  But, as Harley has said, he's nearly 50 years old.  The maturity ship has sailed.

It doesn't make Mosh look better simply because she is happy to get out there and pose for the cameras and receive bouquets and ignore the people who came out to meet her.  If you think she's actually doing any "work" then I've got a beach house in Arizona I'd like to sell you.  Roll Eyes

I'm actually criticizing and questioning Fred, not praising Mary. 'Work' is just the term thrown around for what these royals do. I would just expect that as the crown prince he would be out and about posing and collecting posies  more often. (Yes I'm joking about the posies) He does need to get it together though.

Sorry.  I read that incorrectly and confused it with the other post you just made in the calendar section where you said something like, "I know a lot of you dislike Mary, but" and then the other posts you made a few months ago and then a few months before that asking why we dislike Mary.  Sorry about that!

> Frederik's wet weekend

> Partied without Mary

> Party in the province

> See pictures

remember that one ^^^^^

The Crown Prince forgot everything about Mary and the children for a while when he settled until late at night at "Sport 2017" in Herning.

The barriers were released completely when Crown Prince Frederik last weekend went to Herning to pay tribute to Danish sports. Even before the 49-year-old throne followed about a quarter to eleven, he took the stage for winning the prize as the year's sports name. He had downed the first pints.

When the last official duties were finally over for Frederik's party animal, the future king was completely loose.

When the last official duties were finally over for Frederik's party animal, the future king was completely loose. After Nik & Jay had rounded the show with an impressive medley, Frederik immediately set off the course for the wet after party, where all athletes and VIPs could enjoy a free bar for the long hours.

And Frederik did not miss that chance.

The bustling crown prince stroked directly into one of the corners, where he, along with Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen and Inger Støjberg, got into a mess between the sharp chicks.

And what is the Crown Prince's hip drink? Well, Frederik apparently is lost with the resurrected classic gin-tonic, which he washed down with a routine hand.

Together with her side man, CEO of Messecenter Herning, Georg Sørensen, 58, Frederik diligently scored during the 2½ hour show in this week's Jutland party capital.

I'm not a fan of Fred's work ethics but I find the tone of this article to be deliberately gunning for him.

He was at a celebration.  His host next to him had a pint.

This paints him as a drunk and too genuinely happy at a celebration.   Blink

In this case, I'm glad Fred had a good time and several beers.   Thumb up

If Mary wasn't so out to get him, she couldn't gone with and sipped zero-calorie water with a tight pucker.

Are they suggesting he is alcoholic? Hard to read between lines of a google translation.

Can anyone enlighten me about the meaning of the bolded part please ?
English is not my native language and if I translate litterally, I can't understand what the business with chickens is

I think 'skarpe sjusser' means strong drinks - not cocktails, more like a spirit with a mixer, maybe?  I'm not a native speaker though.

Essentially, sjus is Danish for a shot. I haven’t read the original text but they probably just mean shots or drinks.

The Clown Princely Couple are not at Davos?   Thinking

Mary was there in 2013.

Danish PM was at Strasbourg and now at Davos.

Nope.

Royals attending are: Haakon & MM, Mathilde & Philipe, Maxima, Rania and Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein. Felipe is already there or will come, he is confirmed as to attend.  Civil society is represented by almost 900 leaders from NGOs, social entrepreneurs, academia, the arts, labour organizations, faith-based and religious groups and media.

The Annual Meeting is also the foremost global summit representing younger generations, with 50 members of the Forum’s Global Shaper community, aged between 20 and 30, and 80 Young Global Leaders under the age of 40, participating.

This is where world leaders and some royals of substance mingle, but the DRF is MIA. It's not on their plan. Mary would love to go there, but Fred is completely lost amongst those people. Both have no leg to stand on.

Interesting bit: Princess Beatrice is attending the summit as part of her role as a corporate fixer rather than being there as a representative of the British Royal Family.

That's what it sounds like to me.  Or at the very least, they're insinuating that he was binge drinking.

The Derfs (and Daisy, not pictured or filmed there) attended tonight a gala dinner for recipients of Long Service Awards in the Danish army.
