So MM is to sick to work for Norway, but she can attend gala banketts and fly to London to Charles birthday party?

Sadly, it does not feel okay to dish on that as she is really sick but it is strange - and not very clever. But then ... nothing has changed. She will be picking events even more now and nothing can be said against that.

I agree.  MM gets a pass from me.

I am so torn...on one hand I don't want to judge someone going through major health issues...on the other hand the optics aren't great.  I'll withhold further comment but I hope that her good days include more "bread and butter" engagements and few fancy evening engagements.  God I feel like a horrible person.

But, it's still early days.  Could large public engagements be off the table do to further health risks...like infection...etc?

When your flying you're on an even higher risk to catch a cold or something worse.

She never particularly cared about Norway or her duties. Remember how they moved in university in London straight after their marriage?

We all remember her endless flus and ailments. I remember that once (after two ok pregnancies) when she announced in week 7 into the pregnancy with Sverre that she had a circulation problem and would not be available for the rest of the pregnancy - she did not even wait to see if the situation improved - not saying she should have worked in her condition back than but the normal pregnant woman would have been told by her doc that things like that happen and might clear off again. Her work ethic was always dodgy.

As well her professionalism - she never got the official clothes right - little house style. She appeared with a coffee-to-go at an event. She checked her phone messages while cycling.

It is tragic that she is sick now. But to the Norwegians it might not make a big difference because she never worked much and well anyway.

The woman is very likely going to die far too young and it won’t be a pleasant death. Worst case scenario she could very well be gone in the next three years so given that she has a terminal illness and perhaps an additional autoimmune illness I will extend to her the same courtesy I would offer a friend or co-worker in this situation.
Being that her disease is exacerbated by the cold, the weather will also factor in more in the future.Eventually she won’t be able to travel which she clearly enjoys so it feels wrong for ME to question why she chose to go to a party when she can tolerate flying, the weather, and not be at risk of being killed if she picks up a bug.

Last night, Haakon and MM went to a gala performance on the occasion of poet Hans Børli’s 100th anniversary at The Norwegian Theater

I love MM's style (most of the times....).
Minus her Little House on the prairie's style frocks , her closet is the only royal one from which  I would gladly steal some pieces. Shoes and coats mostly
In these pics she is very modern and rocks in red , besides the shoes are to die for Icecream

And I forgot to mention her jewelry!!!!
Looks like her friend, the late Franca Sozzani from Vogue Italia, gave her some good advices.
