A  touching account of the Duchess of Kent comforting Jana Novotna when the Duchess presented her with the runners up plate at Wimbledon  after Jana lost her first Wimbledon final and the Duchess' reaction to her death last year.http://royalcentral.co.uk...se-who-died-in-2017-94064

I've felt for years that the Duchess was undervalued as a member of the BRF. Kate Kent has always seemed such a gentle, lovely person, and this story verifies it.

I've always liked Kate Kent. She seemed like a kind hearted loving lady.

She and the duke both seem to be very kind and warm people, and they raised some very level-headed children with little-to-none of the drama their generation got into. Katherine was also a large part of Diana's support group back in the day, I've always admired her for that, loved seeing her at Wimbledon, too. She's a sweet lady but a bit of a rebel and outsider, definitely an underappreciated member of the BRF.

I can remember when Miss Katharine Worsley married the Duke of Kent - much was made at the time of her being a "commoner".

She has conducted her life like a true lady, very sincere, kind and honest. I've always admired her.

Yes, and she’s had to put up with Marie-Christine’s antics for decades.

For sure, can you imagine having to put up with a Sister-in-Law who would kill (luckily not literally) for your title and position for all those years?!
