This is great news!  I hope they will be very happy.

So... did everyone else notice that the announcement was made by "The Duke and Duchess of York"?   There hasn't been a Duchess of York since 1996.  It should have been "The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York".   I can understand most people referring to them jointly as "The Duke and Duchess",  but for BP to issue an announcement describing them that way is very interesting.  Or just proves that standards are dropping everywhere.

Congratulations to the happy couple!  Champagne

Does this mean Eugie will be Mrs. Brooksbank without any sort of HRH? Hmm, I wonder what Andy and Ferg think about that... In any case, I don't think Eugie cares and I hope they will be happy.

Probably HRH Princess Eugenie, Mrs Brooksbank? I can't see her losing her title.

Like Princess Alexandra - also a granddaughter of a monarch - Eugenie will remain HRH. She will probably drop the 'of York' and be HRH Princess Eugenie, Mrs Jack Brooksbank (unless his real name is John and Jack is just a nickname).

What an ego on Sarah!  She of course means herself as the “guidance”. Plus she’s functionally illiterate; the correct spelling is “its” not “it’s”.

Even her daughter’s engagement has to be about Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. Ugh.

I was about to write the exact same thing: the mother of the year/guru should check her grammar before posting...
