Who would be the best catches for an unmarried princess like Alexandra of Luxembourg or Olympia of Greece?

Someone not on this list. They’d be better off doing a Madeline or Beatrice finding a nice, independently wealthy, low key guy who adores them.

That’s true 🙂 But who would traditionally be considered the best matches? I guess Wenzel of Liechtenstein as the heir to a throne.
Slighty ot but I really want Wenzel to have only girls and for the eldest to marry Prince George. It would  be so nice if the Jacobite claim was united with the Hanover one. I suppose he better marry quickly for it to even be a possibility.

Since there's still a boys only rule in Liechtenstein this might be a problem.

Wait, does that mean if all of Joseph Wenzel's future kids are girls, the throne would go to his brother Georg instead of his own daughters?

Yes, Liechtenstein follows Salic law. Unless he changes the succession laws, his brother would inherit.

That's a shame.

Regarding Prince George, I think it would be lovely if he marries Princess Gabriella of Monaco, the media would go wild at the thought of Diana's grandson and Grace's granddaughter getting married.

Tatler made a list of "The hot European Princes you've never heard of":

Heinrich Donatus, Hereditary Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe
Prince Josef-Emanuel of Liechtenstein
Archduke Ferdinand of Austria
Prince Achileas-Andreas of Greece
Afonso, Prince of Beira
Prince Rafael of Orléans-Braganza

I think religion still is a barrier for these royal families. I don't think that Prince George and Gabriella are going to get together or be encouraged to get together. Also now that Grace is long gone does Monaco even have any appeal to the British? There are cultural differences too.

Monaco is far too trashy(sorry, I tried to think of a nicer word, but couldn't) for the Brits. The religious barriers probably won't matter anymore, but acting like a celebrity will. Especially now, I think the slightest whiff of anything Hollywood would be fled from.

I would really love if one of the European princes married a Maharaja's daughter, or one of the African princesses. Maybe an Arab princess, but I think that might be controversial, since the Arab kings and Sultans are basically dictators.

Does anyone know any of the appropriate age to marry Christian or George?

Does anyone know any of the appropriate age to marry Christian or George?

As in age gap? I mean, who knows? Albert is 20 years older than Charlene, Charles was 14 years older than Diana. But then that OT couple, she is older than him. Kate and Will are the same age. I guess traditionally you would expect a 2-5 year age difference, but really, anything goes!

People are generally getting married later, so I can see both Christian and George waiting until their 30s to marry. Denmark has the tradition of marrying foreign commoners, and the BRF has long moved away from dynastic marriages. I see future royals becoming more “diluted” (for want of a better word) by marrying outside royal circles.

On another note, has anyone considered the possibility of a same sex royal couple? Particularly with the higher profile heirs and spares? Can you imagine a King and Prince Consort? Or lets be frank, a King and a FABULOUS Queen? I can imagine this going down much better in the progressive Scandi countries than the more conservative European (catholic) countries. But its an interesting thought.

Olympia's boyfriend was included in Tatler's 2019 list of the 50 most eligible bachelors in Britain:

Quote
33. The Hon Perry Pearson

Age: 27

An incredibly polo man who looks like a cross between Robert Pattinson and Jack Whitehall. Take our word for it.
