Personally I thought we already had a "general" topic about it, but I couldn't find it (via the search option on RD). Of course, just like us, common people, royals also recycle clothing and other items. But we have real royal champions in that area. Varying from considerable recycling within the family (Luxembourg & relations) to those who still fit into that one dress after so many years (Anne !!)

Some starters:

Sister Maria Anunciata has worn the same dress.

It is a dress worn before by mother in law Maria Teresa

Thank you, Principessa. Star  Anne is remarkable!

She first wore this yellow and white outfit to Charles and Diana's wedding in 1981.
Paris Match reviewed it by saying "Princess Anne wore scrambled eggs on her head."  haha...
So funny and unexpected from them, I've never forgotten it.

The second wearing, shown right, was at Lady Rose Windsor and George Gilman's wedding in 2008.
The 26-year-old groom wasn't even born when Anne first wore the dress 27 years prior at her brother's wedding to Diana.
Anne's choice "set tongues wagging" about "whether it was an appropriate occasion on which to give the garment another airing."

I support recycling your own clothing if it fits and is in good condition and appropriate. But not someone like MT who is short and not slim and the family thinks her old dresses are ok for her daughter and the married ins .... share jewels but open up your $bn bank account... it just looks cheap

Agreeing.

With regard to the Lux family and relatives it seems to be a large walk in closet available for many (if not the most) of them. They seem to share a lot of clothing, regardless of size, body type, age etc. In the past there was even a switch/share between Lux and Belgian royals!

I like most of the pieces above. Anne is the best at recycling though, like from decades ago. Good for her. I love Letizia's skirts.
