oh, you are most welcome ladies,  Star  Star

if you google "polki diamond jewelry" you'll see tons of examples.

I like it - it has a sort of art deco vibe to me

There is a new theory these days about Mary's wedding tiara provenance...

Here is a picture of Princess Anne of Denmark, née Bowes-Lyon (she was one of the Queen Mother's nieces, married to Prince George of Denmark)
Her necklace here is supposedly Mary's tiara...What do you think ?

Mary's tiara worn in necklace form:

More info about Anne : https://en.wikipedia.org/.../Princess_Anne_of_Denmark

where did this rumor first appear, Elissa  Thinking

somebody tries to put more relevance to the piece than there actual is, and hide the fact that it was bought at an auction for a ridiculous low price, what royal tiaras are concerned.

No history here, and no provenance, and especially no heirloom.

They look identical to me. The pics are not perfect, though.

That and the sun damage on her chest.

Too bad for Mary that the Fife Tiara will - NEVER - go to auction.

She's been on the hunt for a tiara befitting her inflated sense of princessness.

I'd love to know where Mary's tiara is ranked ..

I don't think it's the same. The design of the diamond spacers in Mary's tiara are just straight line of diamonds. Princess Anne's looks like it has a wider design instead of a straight line like Mary's.

Separately the pieces are pretty but iTA about combining them. It doesn’t do either piece justice. Mary has always been about big and flashy over quality and class.

i agree, these modern pieces are very nice but imo what destroys the effect is that droopy chignon that adds centuries to mary's appearance and doesn't frame well the jewellery either.

happy week,Christmas is coming!

On the mega sugar board, a poster saw Mary 'within reach' ( at an unspecified event ) and that her new Edwardian tiara 'had no sparkle at all'  Laughing
