The Duke of Alba's elder son is engaged to marry in october with pretty Spanish girl Sofia Palazuelo! They are young and beautiful
I'm expecting super looks for this wedding because spanish aristo weddings and  elegant guests are a classic match ( Hola docet!)

So he is Cayetana's grandson? Interesting news and a lovely couple. I find it also interesting his name is Fitz-James Stuart since we're talking about Spanish nobility. I have to read up on them now.

She's descended from James FitzJames, King James II of England's illegitimate son.  So therefore the FitzJames Stuart last name!

The wedding of the Fernando Fitz-James, Duke of Huescar, with model Sofia Palazuelos, took place today at the Palacio de Liria in Madrid.

Too bad she didn't wear a tiara and that gown is quite simple but with a regal touch ( the train beginning at the shoulders was only worn by royal ladies back in time  Wink )

Thank you dear Elissa for the photos❤️❤️
Here in Italy feathers for brides are seen with a certain suspicious because we think they bring bad luck. is is the same in France 🇫🇷?
The bride is very simple but elegant, I was hoping for a tiara so I m a bit 😔
The groom is handsome!!!

My pleasure dear ortensia  Beer  Star

Concerning feathers for a bride I honestly don't know if they are considered bad luck
But I know of a Spanish (I think ? please correct me if not ) belief about not wearing pearls on your wedding day. If you do, it is said that during your marriage you will cry for a number of years equivalent to the number of pearls you wear !

I have never been so disappointed in my life...She looks gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but I expected so much more from this wedding. I follow Spanish wedding insta pages and they are so unique, elegant, and just on point, in my view. She is beautiful, the dress is beautiful, I just thought of something else for her.

Here in Italia you have to buy your own pearls. As a gift they are said to bring tears!

The bride is beautiful.  I love her gown, minus the train extending from the shoulders (too cape-like, and I hate capes).  Will the bride be given a title?

The bride becomes today the Duchess of Huéscar Smiley

And  she will be the Duchess of Alba when her new father-in-law passes away.
