I've always had the impression (rightly or wrongly) that William uses access to his children to punish his father. His mother isn't here to enjoy them, so why should his father?

Maybe they are like some others who have more than one name and are taking a few days to decide which one feels "right".
I thinking the DM is just stirring the pot by blaming Charles. I am tired of people causing trouble especially when it shadows a joyous event.
I haven't seen any reports of Grandpa Middleton visiting, either. Did I miss it?

Charles offered to cancel engagements to be available to see George but was told by William 'don't bother'.
Where did you read this, if you don't me asking? This is the most recent article with this claim but I have read it many times since George's birth in many media outlets. http://www.dailymail.co.u...hy-Charles-seen-baby.htmlIt is in the Richard Kay section - which itself speaks volumes about its veracity as he is being sympathetic to Charles and Kay is rarely sympathetic to Charles having tied himself so solidly to Diana's side in the war of the Wales' that he was described as Diana's pet reporter.

Goodness! If Richard Kay, of all people, is associated with an article that is sympathetic to Charles, I believe it without doubt.

Don't really care about any of the brouhaha behind the naming, but I sincerely hope for the little one not be called Bertie. Honestly is that what Britain considers a strong name? Bertie as in Ernie and Bert? I mean we don't need Rambo or Thor, but there must be something more masculine than Bertie? (Fo everyone of my generation who has watched and enjoyed "when Harry met Sally": do you remember Harry's take on men's names? How a woman needs to be able to call the name in the throws of passion, without it sounding silly? "Yes, Bertie, give it to me..Bertie" ---Wouldn't work for me... )

In one of Charles's bios there's a story that Tiggy (William and Harry's childhood 'big sister') phoned Charles up with some friendly advice after he spent George's first birthday inspecting a red squirrel sanctuary in another county. She begged him to start building a relationship with his first grandchild which meant scheduling some regular time for him throughout the year. If this happened with the first grandchild then it appears nothing's changed subsequently with the other two.

I agree. His relationship with Charles seems troubled.

I genuinely think they’re still deciding. Put it this way, if they have chosen a name, surely it would be much harder to keep it a secret this time around, with George at school? You can hardly make a four year old keep such a secret, and all it would take would be one mention in the classroom to one of his 20 classmates, and surely it would leak? Perhaps the press should be monitoring the activity around bookmakers in Battersea?
As for Charles’s access/relationship with his grandchildren; it’s interesting to compare this to the recent brouhaha in Spain, where Sofia’s alleged complaints are the same; that the maternal family has more access whereas she has to effectively make an appointment. If it’s Letizia’s perrogative as a parent to organise her children’s routine, surely it is also William’s?

I was comparing the person getting the “blame”, rightly or wrongly, for the supposedly poor relationships. If I were Letizia, I’d be pissed off that no one in the press or elsewhere seems to question Felipe on this matter; they’re his daughters too.

If you ask me it has a lot to do with the situation. We know how William behaves. We also know Charles is busy. We know Letizia most likely, nor would Felipe I imagine, do such things out of spite. William absolutely would. It's a different situation entirely imo.
