Apparently they are waiting to reveal the name until Charles is back from France tomorrow because he has not seen his new grandson yet.
That is kind of nice of them.

That is kind of nice of them. Then why didn’t they just say that on Monday? William's own name wasn't announced for a week and it took nearly two weeks for Beatrice's name to be confirmed. There's no "set" time for an announcement here, but 3 days is hardly excessive IMHO. I agree with Maria that it's nice to give Charles the chance to meet him before they announce anything.

I think it's lovely that they're waiting until Charles meets him before releasing his name to the public.

You’re right. I still find it a bit vexing that the Brits don’t have a predictable timeframe like other countries.

Maybe they're also not announcing the name yet because it's a day of remembrance? William looks like he hasn't slept a wink.

I think a big reason is that its ANZAC which the BRF takes very seriously with multiple members taking part. They do not want to overshadow that, so I think it appropriate to wait to announce the name.
I think we will learn it tomorrow.

I agree - this plus waiting for Charles to meet the new baby and (presumably) tell him the name in person is respectful and makes sense!

Personally, I’d like his name to be Ringo, after my favourite Beatle.

Prince Ringo does have a certain pizazz to it!
