so many contradictory reports... My guess is Albert Arthur Alexander I too think we will see Albert and/or Arthur. I discarded Alexander as they used it with George. But what do I know? In my family, (on one side) I have 3 cousins with "John" as their middle name while 2 others are named John so....

After the wedding announcement this morning I’m not suprised that we didn’t get the name today.
Did Charles make it to KP today?
Also William needs to get his story straight. Monday it was soon. Wednesday it was a strong name. Today they’re still working on it. Probably all just avoiding the questions but still.

Does Liz have to approve the name? Maybe she rejected their first choice so they're trying to come up with something else.
I like Richard myself, but that's her cousin's name.

Personally I'm hoping that the reason why it's taking so long to release new baby's name is because William and Kate are hoping that the queen will allow them a little more freedom and flexibility with his name. After all, he is currently fifth in line, and probably won't have a significant role in the Royal Family when he gets older.
I don't see Kate and William choosing anything but the most traditional, appropriate names, no matter how far down the line of succession he is. And I don't see Elizabeth saying no to anything William asks her either, certainly not a name, after her granddaughter was named Zara, and her great-granddaughters Isla, Savannah, Mia...

A web developer may have screwed up at the royal family's website...
"However, if you try to find Prince George or Princess Charlotte‘s page, you’ll find an “access denied” screen. And the folks over at the Daily Mail found a very telling clue about the new royal baby’s potential name: If you type in royal.uk/prince-albert, you get this page — the same page you get if you try to find George or Charlotte’s page."
So perhaps Albert is his name.

Is this the strongest clue yet that Kate and Wills will name their new Royal Baby Prince ALBERT? Royal website makes hint as public desire for an answer reaches fever pitch with online demands Windsors' website has a page bearing the phrase 'access denied' under Albert It is the same greeting that appears when users try to view Prince George's page Attempts to view other names simply result in a 'Page Not Found' greeting Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.u...l-Baby-Prince-ALBERT.html Seems to be a glitch in the URL if you put -0 at the end of you get the correct pages for Prince George of Cambridge http://royal.gov.uk/prince-george-0 and Prince Albert royal.gov.uk/prince-albert-0 husband of QV True, but when you type in "/prince-harry", you get Harry's page, no "-0" needed, so that bit is rather weird.

You get Harry's site as example without the "-0"... For G & C "access is denied" without the -0, but with -0 you get theirs. That is very weird imo. Albert's with -0 leads to Victoria's Albert, but without the -0 it's access denied like with G & C. I was wondering whether the Albert url was for Victoria's, but the assumption that Cambs3 might be named Albert isn't too far off going by G's, C's and H's sites. Also they seem to be lying thickly, and it's a trait the Cambs are well known for by now. I am pretty sure names have been chosen and approved of. First it was "soon", then once Charles sees him, now that has passed too and still no announcement because "they're working on it".

It just makes me think of William's attitude towards the press and indeed towards anyone else like us plebeians. He's too smart for us and so superior, he has to screw with everyone! Take THAT! (Yes, I do believe he is that petty.)

I hope it's not Albert, poor kid!! It just makes me think of William's attitude towards the press and indeed towards anyone else like us plebeians. He's too smart for us and so superior, he has to screw with everyone! Take THAT! (Yes, I do believe he is that petty.)
I too think William is this petty. I still remember all those reporters waiting outside the hospital for news hours after George's birth because William wanted to keep it private, I wonder if people were allowed to suddenly storm their private suite once the adoring public was notified.

Broodiness hasn't hit me (as yet) so all babies look pretty much the same to me. However, many of my circle have had kids and I have been struck by how many delayed naming the child, on the grounds that they wanted to wait and see what it looked like. My bestie has known since she was around 12 what names she wanted, but baby #1 didn't match the name she'd picked (she says).
It's not beyond the bounds of possibility that William and Catherine either had a name that they think does not now suit, and so they have to think again, or are still undecided on what name he 'looks' like?

"I'm working on it", is an impertinence. Of course they know the name. And William while knowing that the public is eagerly waiting for the announcement just has to act smug. There might be a reason for not announcing the name yet - but there is definitely no reason for snide remarks towards the public.
I just started to like William but when he starts offending the well-wishers I'm done with him again. Yes, he is petty!
As for the name: I use a washing powder named "Burti" just because I'm very fond of the name. I think Bertie has a sweet (and for me: clean and neat) sound!

Oh, not Bertie, please. I've just re-watched To The Manor Born. Bertie was Audrey's dog.
Of the two, I'd prefer Arthur.
