Better picture of the painting now available - not an angled shot.

That pic says midlife crisis to me. I hope the Danish people aren't paying her upkeep any more. It's been years since the royal divorce.

Stupid. Can she not stay dressed ... what is the point in that? It is just tacky and totally uncalled for.

I am honestly a bit surprised that in 2018 a woman having naked shoulders is an issues Confused

I don't mind what she wears, or not it may be art & all but it looks plain tacky IMO.

Given her former position and function it is very tacky (IMO of course). It is not that she is wearing a nice evening dress with spaghetti strings ... I (personally) find it very ridiculous and very uncalled for.

I haven't been around in a long while........other things had to take the place of royals yet I saw this here when I cam to read the thread.......good grief what is the woman selling I wonder?  It is summer now, hot and humid so today I saw worse then that walking down the street in a posh area.......had me doing double takes like this picture did. Wonder what her boys think of it.......mom, you look so silly and your not aging in a good way!  Maybe or maybe not...

The straps are fine, i don't get the cleavage. And I am sure Mary has been called tacky for much less then this and she would never get away with such a portrait. Alex might not be in the royal family but her entire identity in Denmark is based on her prior very royal role. I see a double standard here.

Such a tone about the opinions of other posters is not okay here.

IMO the painting is well done, but it's the pose that sets it off.  If she was painted standing up straight and at a slight angle it would look much better.
