they shot 10 deer and 2 foxes   Ranting Real mad Ranting

Outrageous!  Ranting
I just watched a young buck bed down for the night in my backyard. The thought of him being shot by a bunch of rich douche bags makes my heart hurt Cry

As long as they eat and use what they kill I have no problem with hunting but why this huge show about it? Where did the tradition come from?

like a lot of royal traditions this one came from kings of past going hunting to entertain the royal court.

In those days you had "drivers" or "beaters" who brought the animals in certain positions/places for the royals to have an easy target. And the dinner afterwards, where some of the dead animals were eaten, was to revel in their hunt and kill.

That's what you have at Foxhunts as well with dogs. The pack chases and corners the fox to make it easier for the hunter to kill it.

This has nothing to do with the normal hunt for food that certain hunters these days revert to.

This is a sadistic ritual that a bunch of rich people do for sport, it has nothing to do with hunting for sustenance or because you like the meat imo

Thanks for telling me the history, Peeds. I do not understand doing this. It seems like there is no purpose other than killing animals. I am obviously fine with hunting for meat, eat meat, but this is just cruel and a tradition that should be outmoded.

and Daisy...always interested in what her children have to say

Mary always, always looks like she's trying too hard at these types of royal events.
She's trying very hard to look like the royal lady of the manor - and failing. Stiletto boots for an evening hunting event in the country side? New coat (?) that's too short for the skirt under it - and she has so many longer coats. If she was bent on wearing that trouser coat, she should've worn trousers with it. This would've been a good occasion for a pair of her low-heeled riding boots. And the result would've been more appropriate. Her outfit is totally mismatched: maroon, different shades of green, black.  Nothing effortless or sporty about her look.

Even QEII tones it down when she's at Balmoral.

And Fred could care less if Mary was there or not. He doesn't acknowledge her at all even though she has attached herself to him.

Every one of these photos are disturbing to me. Dead animals, entitled people looking happy at the slaughter and Mary being Mary.

November 19
CHRISTMAS 2018 in Marselisborg
The latest news is the entire royal family will be gathered in Marselisborg!

During her press conference for her show "Nutcracker", Marguerite spoke about the CHRISTMAS party that will take place in Marselisborg, with the whole family.

- "I'm looking forward to Christmas, because I hope all my family will come, so it will be great with all grandchildren, it will be a merry Christmas, I certainly believe it,"  said the Queen at the press conference for "Nutcracker".

Tradition has it that the royal family celebrates Christmas in Aarhus:

- "We have to be in Marselisborg, where we have been celebrating Christmas for many years.

Last year, the Queen and Prince Henrik celebrated Christmas alone in Marselisborg, as their two sons and their children spent the Christmas holidays abroad but separately!

The queen declares that she and her relatives will keep the traditions even though Prince Henrik is no longer among them.

- "I think we're going to do exactly what we've done every year, our Christmas dinner and that kind of thing should always be traditional with rice and goose, and in our family we get the" cake English plums that I got to know about my mother Queen Ingrid and I'm very happy about this Christmas Eve".

I miss my grandpa too but I'm thinking this is a good thing, it means we were close and we had great time together. My grandmother passed away last summer (1017) and I miss her even more. Love doesn't fade, it lives in our heart along with the memories from our beloved ones, even if they're gone, cordtx.

I’m glad the whole family will be with QM. The first Christmas after a passing is very emotional. It will be good for the little kids too.

It's just gross. Slaughtering animals animals for sport!  They should be ashamed of themselves.
