Thanks for clearing up the size confusion, that is exactly my point, from a 14 to a 6 is a huge amount. In pictures it's not so obvious but she is really thin imo

Mary’s natural body type would have her a UK size 14 by now. When I saw her she would have been a 6 - she was way skinnier in the flesh than in photos from that same occasion.
Really? That’s a pretty big difference - staying that size must be a full time job.

I’m going to defend her on this point even though she’s not my favorite person. I don’t think anyone is “naturally” a certain size at a certain age. I say that because when I was turning 50, I spent several years working out hard at least three times a week which included work with weights. The change in my body (and fairly rapidly) was remarkable. I don’t care what age you are, it’s certainly possible to completely change your body by eating correctly and working out. And it’s not all that difficult, believe it or not. (The best part was the mental “high” I got post-workout.)
Anyway, she has no bones sticking out so I’m not sure what is meant by “really thin.” She’s slim, sure. But to me, she looks healthy and fairly athletic. Even if she’s not working out per se, she’s chasing around four active kids. If I remember, she likes sailing, horseback riding and who knows what else. She appears to me to be pretty active. All of which explain her current physical condition.
