George strikes me as sensitive and naturally shy, with a lot of George VI in him. Spencer school tradition is irrelevant to George’s education. The family might well depart from tradition to ensure his best possible path forward. And - pragmatics need to be addressed - that path is likely to include never being King.

I believe that William and Catherine will choose the best fit for each of their children even if that means that they choose  a different school for each child.
I wish that Charles and Diana had opted to really choose the best fit for each of their children, so Harry wouldn't have struggled at Eton. Gordonstoun would have been a better fit IMO.

They weren't an Eton family until Diana decided to send William there. I hope he gets someplace more sensible. The Duke of Westminster's backstory provides some hope that you can be filthy rich and normal.

The late Queen’s cousins - Edward and Michael Kent, Richard Gloucester and William Gloucester were educated at Eton. And the first duke of Gloucester, Prince Henry, the present duke’s father, he went to Eton.

Both Diana's father and brother Charles went to Eton as well as Lady Jane's son Alexander. Don't know where George,  Lady Sarah son went but his father went to Harrow. The only reason why the Waleses would choose Marlborough is because they could all be together, possibly even with Pippa' s children and maybe even James's children.

I think James didn’t attend because of exams. Nice to see Catherine looking fabulous and always nice to see Lady Louise.

I actually think that Louise is enjoying the royal circle and being part of the family while James seems to hate the lime light (which is okay). So I think this is what we are going to see in future: Louise being present at functions like that while James isn't.

Yeah I bet James just straight up said "NO" to attending. He's done it before, he knows what it entails. And there's not at much at stake if he doesn't go.

Lady Louise looked just fabulous.

Not that anyone has seen, although since the "slimming down" of the balcony it's hard to tell who attends. In the past the "public" part of the event has always been followed by a big family lunch, to which I'd be surprised if the Yorks weren't invited. Especially since we have seen that Freddie and Ella were there in the background.

I would be surprised if the Wales children boarded overnight at school before the age of sixteen. William and Kate have worked their media angle hard to ensure that people know they are raising their children differently than how royal children were raised in the past. They (or the media) emphasize a lot on how Kate wants to raise her children similar to how she was raised, and she left boarding school at age fourteen due to bad experiences.

I could anticipate that given Kate and Charles' current health issues W&K may want their children as close as possible for as long as possible.
