There were just two “oh no!” moments... gotta say, I’d personally FAR rather the public saw my knickers than massive sweat patches under my arms!

Hehe

Same for me.
I mean... I can always wear pretty knickers  Blush but armpit stains only proof a bad hygiene or a lack of anti perspirant

Or proof of nerves.  Or hot flashes.  Or both.

Or your dress is so ridiculously tight that the effort required to move results in excessive sweat.

I can't control the wind but I can wear anti-perspirant and a dress that is not 2 sizes too small

+1 nerves for sure and menopausal symptoms too perhaps-overall Sarah did well-dress was in line with what the guests wore - a bit tight fitting but not awful. Despite living in the U.K. over several years the "fashion" there is a puzzle sometimes

Wind totally.

Its 1 moment in time.  Stains are all night and make everyone uncomfortable.

She probably should have put pads in there; hot flashes are natural but on your daughter's wedding you don't want that in the pictures.

the dress was so tight that there was no hope for the armpits. Mrs Brooksbank wore a much more sensible outfit - we will never know if she had the same problem

Here's the deal, though: Sarah was, at one time, a working senior member of the BRF: therefore she knew at some point how to handle this aspect of presenting oneself in public life, has access to the best of the best, has been there and done it, and therefore there's really no excuse.

What probably happened is that she was so wound up that she plumb forgot to put her anti-perspirant on.

Yes. Still, I can't imagine it would be any fun going into the lion's den, so to speak. All these people who have shunned you for years. I'd be nervous too. I know much of it was of her own making, but i still have a bit of sympathy there.

As a grown ass adult, menopausal or not, you know not to wear something that tight and in unbreathable material if there is any likelihood of you sweating, for whatever reason.  No amount of deodorant would have prevented what happened, just better clothing in cut, colour and material.

This. I presume she had access to a mirror and could see how bad that looked. What a mess she is.
