That necklace is gorgeous!

Looks like Kate is wearing Queen Alexandra's wedding necklace: http://queensjewelvault.b...ndras-wedding-parure.html

I love how HM has seemingly opened the vaults! Seeing these old pieces again is really wonderful.

What?! Nice!

The gown design looks great on Kate, but the material looks cheap.

Finally a family order!

The necklace is very beautiful, very delicate and I believe suits Kate's figure. However, she looks extremely thin in the pic. Maybe it's the angle of the photo or the quality of it but it's too much. I don't like her gown, I don't if it's the colour or the fabric.

It looks like a dress from the 80s and not in a good way.

ETA:  But now I understand why you all wanted Max to bring out the Stuart...WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It is gorgeous.  I actually don't mind the dress.

Looks like Kate's got a Royal Family order now!

About time.   Frankly I hate how everything in Britain has to have some special meaning...some stupid sign of approval.

If I had my way, children of the sovereign and the heir would get the Garter, Thistle, Royal Victorian, and Royal Family Order (for the gals) at 18.   Other HRHs (York girls, Kents, Gloucesters) would get just the Royal Victorian and  Royal Family Order (for the gals) at 18.   And spouses of HRH would get the Royal Victorian and Royal Family Order (for the wives) on their wedding day.

Nearly every other RF these things are automatic at either 18 or marriage not some dumb sign of something.  Just a sign your apart of that family.

William likes his women skeletal so Kate will oblige. Heís so gross.

Kate has to show it off of course. Definitely 1980s vibes. Itís so hideous! Probably bespoke too.

Looks like it to me too.  It's about time, IMO.

I don't care for the necklace, but I love that tiara.

The dress is horrible.  Too 80s.
