She wears it ALL!
Everyone else woold have left out the bow brooch, but Max pinned also this one!
And she she looks AMAZING!
 Supercontent

The dress is just simple enough to let the diamonds take the lead. Good choice.

As for Kate, nice that she got loaned a necklace that goes so well with the Lovers knot, and good that she has chosen a cleavage which gives the necklace place to shine.
I don't care about the 80ties gown, looks Dynasty Joan Collins style to me, and some strange shiny taffetta fabric,
but I was really scared how she obviously managed to lose further 10 kilos since we last saw her last week? She looks thinner than ever?

Now we really need a group photo to dive into the rest of the bling ... did we see that many tiaras in one room already this year?

I thought that Philip would attend the State Dinner. I hope he's ok.

Sad that Phillip wasn't feeling up to attending, I miss him. Makes me realize how much I'll miss HM. It's nice to see her and her godson together, I think she has a soft spot for Wax.

Since I feel like we made this happen with all our collective wishing, I'm gonna go ahead and put in my request now for Queen Maxima wearing the full Stuart and Queen Letizia wearing La Buena in the same room. Make it so!

Why is Kate's made of glass instead?
I had a feeling that she was going to go overboard on the dieting. With this last pregnancy she gained a lot more weight, and I bet seeing herself in those pictures has given her an even worse complex about her body.
The dress is a pretty color but the fabric is not great.

There are any number of reasons:

1. There could be no more of the original ivory ones to pass down.  And passing down might not be a thing.

2. They are out of ivory and of course canít get more because itís illegal now.

3. William and his anti ivory letís destroy all the ivory in the palace thing.

They were going to have to come up with a new method anyway for when Charles is king so they might tryout different ways with Kate and any future women who get the Queenís order.

Personally, I'm okay with the change from ivory to glass.  It's about time they modernized this.  The ivory trade is horrible, destructive, immoral and unsustainable.  William is a douchecanoe, but this is one thing I agree with him about.

I agree that the needed the new method as ivory is illegal but I would throw fits if William actually destroyed historical artwork and what not.

Me too...  It's destroying history.  He'd go right to the top on my mortal enemy list, ala Sheldon Cooper.

Those diamonds are huge and remind me of that candy called jawbreakers. I like Max's dress. The queen and Camilla bore me in white but otherwise look amazing.

I think everyone here agrees the ivory trade is deplorable and should be stopped, but William's fits about destroying everything is very him. Rules for me, not for thee; I can lecture about hunting but go hunting myself, I can whinge about overpopulation but have a ton of kids, the usual.

With regards to Pushy ...her Aquamarine jewels are gorgeous. Just not on her, with that gown and that tiara, LOL.

Cams looks almost as regal as HM. They have obviously both decided that a white gown is the get-go uniform for state dinners: works with all jewels and sashes.

As for Mabel: the dress is very her.
