Reportedly, Carl Gustaf and Charles are not very fond of each other. A Swedish reporter once said that CG thinks Charles is a bore with no sense of humour. No idea if this is true or just speculations, but the British and Swedish royals have always had a frosty relationship, unlike the Norwegians and British who are closely related and seem to be good friends.

And Charles didn't bother to go to CG's 70th birthday party in 2016 either, nor did he send any family members to represent Britain, so why should they go to his?

A mirror for CG might be a handy thing.

What a laugh - CG looks the most boring person I have seen - permanent sulk. And Charles does not "send" anyone anywhere - that is up to his mother or the British Foreign Office. But the BRF does not send the A team to most events. Ed and Sophie do the "duty" - but then they are around 20 years younger than Charles and better suited to the "younger" generation occasions. The Spains, Belgians, Dutch etc are 50'ish and not 70 . . .

Charles earned major respect with his involvement in very good and relevant issues especially his founding of the Prince's Trust but also real environmental issues. It is easy to say he is a spoiled man and in many ways he is because of this weird life he was born into but good lord he has changed people's lives like for real and for that he gets a thumbs up from me. Also that video of him and Camilla getting their boogie on in Ghana made my day.
Thumb up
He grew on me after I watched the docuseries The Royal House of Windsor episodes 4 and 5?on Netflix.
All blood royals are spoilt just by virtue of birth, as are their spouses.

Charles would have earned respect for his thoughts on the environment if he lived what he preaches.  Since he doesn't, and none of them do, they can all sit their entitled a**es down and be quiet.

Indeed  Laugh bounce  The lack of self awareness would be hilarious, but it's CG we're talking about after all, so not surprising..

Wasn't there a rumor about a possible match between the Princess Royal (Anne) and CG at some point ? But Cg had already met Silvia and refused the match, hence the feud ?

AFAIK, there is no feud. CG and Charles just don't like each other for whatever reason, never have, probably difference in personalities. But there are rumours CG's grandfather wanted Anne for his grandson but neither of them were interested in the match.

I'm going to be in London next week and thought it might be fun to see if I can spot anyone heading to this party--like how we sometimes get pics of relatives heading to BP for Christmas lunch.  What side of the palace do you think the will the cars go to?
