This dress is beautiful on both of them. I love seeing dresses being used again!

I think it fit better on Sofia. The top looks a little big on Letizia -- but it looks like it's not an easy dress to alter. But this does seem to be the season for re-wearing dresses from earlier generations. Didn't Victoria wear one of Queen Silvia's dresses at the Nobel awards the other night?

I don't like this look on Letizia.  I think she looks frumpy  and I do not like her darker hair. And enquiring  minds want to know: why does she rarely wear tights/ hosiery?

I think she does. There are such ultra sheer non-sheen  tights that your legs look bare. 8 and even denier and nobody notices.

I do like it on Letizia, red is indeed a great Colour for her, but the top does swamp her a bit, while it sits perfectly on Sophia. I also very much like Letizia's shoes, but Sophia's lovely two toned are a very good choice as well.

With all the nonsense going on in another royal house at the moment, it is such a relief to turn to Spain, where the Queen is pictured working hard almost every day in a modestly priced (or decades old!) outfit, looking well-briefed, engaged and happy.  I think the dress looks charming on Letizia and on Sophia.  This is how you modernise royalty - itís what you do, day in day out, that counts, not what you say youíre going to do.

I agree that the fit is better on Sophia. But, true to the era, her accessories are a bit much.  Sometimes I appreciate Letiís minimalism.

The cut of the sleeves is the only hint that this dress is 30 years old.
Think them away, shift dress style, and it would look great on Leti as well.
