An article about a person who keeps track of BRF "work."

The 87-Year-Old Hobbyist Who Measures the Royal Family’s Workload

"LONDON — Long before there was such a thing as “Big Data,” there was Tim O’Donovan, a retired insurance broker who has meticulously tabulated the British royal family’s engagements with pencil and paper every day for 40 years."

This is probably in the wrong thread but I wonder how Brexit will affect the function of the monarchy and the royals?

The monarchy will need to tread carefully, if the economy tanks and people don’t have what they used to have, opulent displays of wealth and lavish spending won’t be tolerated.  QEII had better haul in her heirs & spares and give them rules to live by.  She has the experience from WWII.  When the people were going through a lot, her parents, QE & sis all pitched in.

What a scary time for the UK. I feel bad for all the people who will be affected by this ;( but I hope the royals tread lightly. This will affect them as much as possible.

Both look good. I've yet to see a color on HM, which doesn't suit her.

Kate's coatdresses may be boring, but they really are made for her.

It must get chilly in those top of the range Rolls Royces!

Kate looks dull, but in a good way. She's standing back and letting the queen shine.

Today the Queen looks regal and royal - as she should.  Champagne Kate has taken a page out of Jane Austen by falling in - doing a good job supporting the structure and norms of the crown through her dedication to royal duty and the sacrifice of personal desires. Lol!  Champagne

They both look great. Totally on point and appropriate. Queen and Kate look comfortable in each other’s company.

I'm rather enjoying the overall looks on both HM and Kate, both are sporting their uniform of sorts and both look impeccable.  It makes my heart happy to see these two together.  My only nitpick is with Kate and that I personally prefer a rounded toe heel when worn with opaque tights.

Say what you will about Kate but her "dullness" is rather refreshing, especially as of late.

True. And she’s wearing more sensible block heels.  I hope this is a trend.....

I also like the way Kate went with a gray coat dress, knowing that HM would be in a bright color. She knew that HM is the star and to let her shine.

I do like that cutaway front on HM's coat.
