Perhaps Harry didn't think she should be there but she insisted. This was the first time I've seen them in public where they didn't attempt some over the top "we're so in love" show.

I don't understand why she was even there. She was MIA during the state visit and D-Day yet shows up here, why? She clearly wasn't physically or emotionally all there either so it just looks even stranger. If she wasn't there nobody would have questioned.

I can only think she hates Trump so missing the state visit didn't phase her and D-Day wasn't glamorous enough. The trooping on the other hand has all the royal glamour and celebrity like attention so she couldn't miss. Her ego wouldn't let her miss the opportunity to stand on the BP balcony with the Queen and all the other top royals as the crowds cheer with adoration. I guess she didn't think she would be ignored by everybody there or totally overshadowed by Louis in the press. I hope she still thinks it was worth it.

And you have to give it to her - there was a chair. But she took the whole thing STANDING.

Side-saddle like a boss in that first pic!

I admire her so much in the way she hasn't let the infirmities of age slow her down. I thought she looked lovely, but I did miss seeing Philip. She's a trooper for sure, long may she reign.

I think it’s The Duke of Kent.  He’s  also a Knight of the Garter.

It is the Duke of Kent - Colonel of the Royal Scots.

As he no longer rides to the parade (he was in the 2nd carriage with Beatrice, Eugenie and Jack) he now sits during the parade as well. The Queen positions him next to her.

Those who rode to the parade are still on their horses during the parade.

All five of the royal colonels have the Knight of the Garter and all were in red uniforms.

I think Anne’s uniform is blue.  IIRK the Blues and Royals are the only different one out of the Guards Division and Household Calvary.

As the news article is in Dutch, I have put it through Google Translate. Below the 'rough' translation.

Royal Couple visits Windsor in the United Kingdom

News item 07-06-2019 | 15:42

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima will visit Windsor in the United Kingdom on Monday 17 June.

The King is installed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in the "Most Noble Order of the Garter". During an annual ceremony in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, he is installed as "Supernumerary Knight of the Garter". During the state visit of the Royal Couple to the United Kingdom on 23 and 24 October 2018, the King was appointed by Queen Elizabeth II as a knight in this Order of the Garter. His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain will also be installed as "Supernumerary Knight of the Garter" during the ceremony on 17 June. He received that appointment during a state visit in 2017.

The Order of the Garter was founded by King Edward III in 1338, making it the oldest and highest knighthood in the United Kingdom. Queen Elizabeth is at the head of the order. In addition to members of the British Royal Family, the order includes twenty-four knights and ladies, who have been appointed by Queen Elizabeth for their special merit for the common good. In addition, some foreign heads of state are part of the order: the Supernumerary Knights and Ladies. Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands has also been a member of this order since 1989.

I would imagine the new Emperor of Japan and his wife will visit in the next few years and he will become a Knight of the Garter as well. I believe his father was one.

Has he done this before? If not good for whoever made it happen. OTJT is always helpful, and HM has loads of experience to pass on.

OK … I'll take a stab at it. Not all are Kents, as some are Gloucesters.  From left:

Lyla Gilman, daughter of Rose Windsor Gilman and George Gilman, granddaughter of the Duke of Gloucester
Estella Taylor, daughter of Helen Windsor and Tim Taylor, granddaughter of the Duke of Kent
Helen Windsor Taylor, daughter of the Duke of Kent
Flora Ogilvy, daughter of James and Julia Ogilvy, granddaughter of Princess Alexandra
George Gilman, husband of Rose, son-in-law of the Duke of Gloucester
Rose Windsor Gilman, daughter of the Duke of Gloucester
Alexander Ogilvy, son of James and Julia Ogilvy, grandson of Princess Alexandra
The Duke of Kent
