Amber is certainly going through some hard times.  She has been ditched by Mosh, ditched by her boyfriend, ditched by Jayson Brunsdon (the clothing designer that Amber helped get publicity via her connection with Mosh) and a number of stories are cropping up like this one from defamer.com:

Speaking of Ms Amber "I Was Princess Mary's Bridesmaid" Petty, we're not sure how much time and a stint in the CIty of Churches has changed her, but the last time the Defamer operatives saw her in Sydney, she was looking rather skanky walking home from Randwick Racecourse with her shoes in one hand and a ciggie in the other, slurring her speech and swearing at passers by.

I think Leesa is right and we should be deeply concerned about Amber and her mental health.  We need to support Amber Petty and help her get her tell-all book on Mosh published.  Perhaps we should run a poll to show how many of us would buy the book if Amber writes it. She could then use this to help build broader support for her book and secure a good deal with a publisher.

'I still hope to find love!'

'I still hope to find love!' Princess Mary's best friend Amber Petty speaks candidly about being single at age 48... as she admits that having biological children 'will not happen'. She has been best friends with Princess Mary of Denmark for more than twenty years.

And while her closest pal may have married a Prince, Amber Petty has yet to forge her own fairy tale romance.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph on Saturday, the Melbourne-based singleton spoke candidly about looking for love at the age of 48. The former radio host told The Daily Telegraph that she is now looking for Mr Right, after putting her life on hold for several years in order to look after her ailing father.

She explained: 'My dad died last year and I was a carer for a few years before that, then I immediately became a foster carer, so now is the time where I want to make space for love and for a romantic relationship.'

However, as she approaches her milestone 50th birthday, Amber has ruled out ever having biological children.

She stated: 'I will always have children in my life, but they will be friends' kids and foster kids.'

Last year, the beauty revealed she had become a foster parent, penning a powerful piece about the experience with The Daily Telegraph. In her May 2018 piece, Amber wrote: 'I opened the door to find a seven-year girl with messy curly hair, standing flanked by Child Services (DHS) staff.'

'She'd come from a frightening world and now she was standing at the door of a stranger. 'My little friend has been living with me for almost six months now and has a personality the size of the MCG.'

It's unclear whether Amber is still parenting the young girl.

Amber met her best friend Princess Mary back in the mid-1990s, when the pair worked together at a Melbourne marketing company. She went on to become a household name in Australia after she was chosen to be one of Mary's bridesmaids at her 2004 wedding to Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark. Afterward, the blonde worked in magazines and radio, and her love life was the subject of public interest.

Amber was rumoured to have dated millionaire businessman Mark Alexander-Erber in the mid-2000s.

And in 2011, she again hit headlines for her reported three-month relationship with former Nine Network managing director Jeff Browne.

Meanwhile, the star has been open about the fact she is often envious of her best friend Mary's picture perfect life.

In 2014, Amber appeared on The Morning Show to discuss her pal's 10th wedding anniversary to Prince Frederik, saying: 'I look at the photos of what they've got in 10 years, I look at my photos and go, where's all my stuff, where's all my stuff? 10 years and I'm still sitting there on my own, what is happening?'

How Princess Mary's bridesmaid struggled for 10 years after the Aussie became a Danish royal because she felt she had 'lost' her best friend
Princess Mary's bridesmaid has shared her mental struggles after wedding. Amber Petty said she turned to spirituality after feeling isolated and paranoid. She now runs The Tarot Teahouse in Melbourne where she gives oracle readings.

Princess Mary's bridesmaid says she struggled for 10 years after losing her best friend to the Danish Royal Family. Royal bridesmaid Amber Petty said she fell into a depression after her friend's wedding to Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark in 2004. She said the situation eventually led her to the 'spiritual world' to cope with her feelings of isolation and paranoia.

- "Losing my best friend in a sense, I mean we are still really close, but losing her after the royal wedding was a really difficult 10 years", she told the Herald Sun.

Ms Petty moved from Tasmania where she had been childhood friends with Princess Mary known then as Mary Donaldson, to Adelaide where she worked in commercial radio. After suffering a series of relationship breakdowns Ms Petty felt she was at breaking point.

- "I wasn't in a good emotional space and it really forced me to either fall off the grid mentally, or to seek help. So I found a local energy healer."

She said the energy healer helped her tap into her spiritual side that had become 'closed down'. She has now moved to Melbourne where she gives oracle readings at her establishment The Tarot Teahouse.

She has also written a book about her battles and newfound spiritual awakening which she plans to release later this year. In the book she talks about her relationship with her father.

- "One of the big issues which stems from my childhood was fearing love, thinking it would always be taken away from me because of the relationship I had with my father. Then ending up in the spotlight of my best friend's huge love story".

Um, Amber? You can have her back now. In fact, please take her. And keep her in Oz. We’ve funded her long enough.

I was just gagging over the “beauty” comment (I find her to be very hard looking), but then I saw the comment about the foster child. Where is she and what happened to her?

Childhood friends in Tasmania? Didn’t they meet as adults in Melbourne? I’ve never heard of any connection between Amber and Tassie.
