The French Military Chief of Staff posted a photo of Joachim's first day of studies at the Center for Advanced Military Studies (CHEM).
CHEM prepares seniors officers for excercises of highest responsibilities in the armed forces in France and internationally. This year of studies provides an opportunity to strengthen the cohesion between future military leaders who will be lead to exercise high responsibilities together and develope their political and strategic sense. In 2019, 30 attendees including 5 foreign soldiers will participate in this training.

October 25
Joachim talks about his documentary.

Let me say right away: I have nerves today. For tonight there is a premiere on the TV program "Prince Joachim tells ...", where I tell and disseminate Danish history in the best broadcast time.

This past year, I have been part of the team and editorial team behind a program series on our shared history. It's been something of a journey; from Bornholm to Esbjerg; Northern Jutland to Lolland - and abroad. I have been to confirmation preparation in Grenå, visited a farmer's family in Lolland, with border police at work at Copenhagen Airport and visited Tallinn in Estonia, where the myth of our flag, Dannebrog, originated. All to describe faith, democracy, school, borders, law and symbols, and how this has become part of us throughout history.

The first section can be seen tonight at DRK at 20.45. I hope you guys will watch it.

Prins Joachim Fortaeller - Prince Joachim tells

October 23
Prince Joachim talks about our faith

VIDEO HERE

Imagine a time when the king is burning witches alive on the fire. That's how it used to be. But how have we come so far that we in Denmark can believe what we want? Or we can totally not believe in anything.

On his journey around Denmark, Prince Joachim meets Danes who are themselves part of Danish history. He digs for gold on Bornholm and he talks about celibacy with a nun in Holte.

- "For over 1000 years, the history of Denmark has been closely linked to the history of my family. I feel connected to the people and the events that have created the piece of land called Denmark. Why do we have borders? Who has fought for free elections? Why is it free to attend school? The answers lie in the past. This is my suggestion of how our common history has created Denmark."

Prince Joachim talks about our democracy

Imagine a time when all Danes thought it was natural for the king to rule over their lives. It used to be that way, but how did all Danes over the age of 18 get the right to vote?

The DRK programs on the ousted prince Joachim is gaining ground in the whole country - and this time positively.

It's smart, experts say.

- "The Prince has a wonderfully pleasant voice ".

- "He is a very pleasant person and communicator".

- "Joachim is pleasantly surprising. As good a communicator as his mother."

That's just a small snippet of the comments the Danes made after the first episode of "Prince Joachim Tells" ran across the screen a few weeks ago at DRK .

And shouldn't that headwind be welcomed after the recent criticism of Prince Joachim's decision to go to Paris to study and at the same time bring his $ 300,000 apanage a month .

- "Prince Joachim can content himself with being allowed to show the pages of himself he would prefer to show."

Even at a time when the unfortunate prince is once again facing headwinds due to a somewhat clumsy handled "mission for Denmark" (stay in Paris), which has caused confusion about the prince's continued commitment at home and thus the justification for take the apanage abroad.

The documentary series, which should be the prince's bid for "how our shared history has created Denmark", is sent at a time when the prince's role seems increasingly phased out, writes Berlingske 's reviewer, Jakob Steen Olsen.

The royal house expert Søren Jakobsen also thinks that the prince for once seems more human.

- "He appears less stiff and less arrogant, which is clearly an advantage for him. But we must also remember that the program was recorded before the bad cases began to topple over him", says royal house expert Søren Jakobsen.

- "The Prince tells about history, but it is not so that he becomes very personal and private. That is certainly not the point either", says royal house expert Søren Jakobsen.

However, Joachim should not expect the program to change anything about his low location in the royal house.

- "The program will not be able to change anything in the order, and that is how power is in the royal house. The fact that Joachim rides around the outskirts of Denmark and talks to people at eye level is not moving anything in that sense."

- "Prince Joachim is trying out a whole new country when he takes TV viewers out to Denmark to make them clearer about who they are: - It's a whole new world for me, and it's very exciting", he says.

- "We must also remember that it has not been broadcast on the main channel."

DRK is a niche channel, and it also says something about Denmark Radio's expectations for the broadcast, Jakobsen explains.

The themes are faith, democracy, school, boundaries, law and symbols in the Prince's television program. He meets people and visits the Jelling Stones, Lellinge Borgring and Nyborg Castle, among others. (Photo: Nordisk Film Production A / S)

- "We must also remember that the program was made by Anna von Lowzow, who is one of Joachim's friends".

Clearly, she is also interested in portraying the prince in a positive light. It's very understandable, he says.

Jakobsen has stated several times that he expects Joachim to go for a job abroad when the military training is completed next summer.

Prince's French Escape: That's why Joachim says goodbye

- If he does not get a job, and he has to return to Denmark, the program may have put him in a better light. But it is too early to say, Søren explains.

Criticism has overturned over the Prince couple after moving to France.

It recently caused Princess Marie, 43, to voice her opinion:

- "The criticism is completely unreasonable. Completely unreasonable in relation to what he does. I simply cannot understand it", she said.

One thing is certain though. It is the prince's own decision to join the program - not the royal house. There is not much work for Joachim, 50, in the royal house.  This week, again, his brother, Crown Prince Frederik, is running the attention - even in Paris.  43-year-old Princess Marie must therefore get used to a new life completely without royal duties in France.

- "He didn't ask the Queen for permission for this, and she probably didn't have to approve it either".

My commandment is that Joachim himself made the decision to join, and then he just briefed the queen. She probably could well see that it would be quite harmless for him to participate, says Søren Jakobsen.

So Fred can remain an aimless, substance dependent, lazy mess with no achievements to his name at 50 but Joachim who has actually done things with his life is the whipping boy.  Nice Roll Eyes
