August 15
Daisy is in Cahors at the moment.
She visited an open-air market which is in the square outside Cahors cathedral, close to the Cayx Palace. The Cayx Palace (Château de Cayx or Château de Caïx) is a summer residence in the wine district of Cahors in southern France. Wonder if she get visited by the Schacks.

I'm happy for her that she can "run around" there almost like a normal person, given you overlook the security details  Grin

I just saw a story dtrump is going to make an offer on Greenland when he visits Denmark in a couple of weeks.  Do you think Marge will laugh in his face, listen to his offer or pretend she doesn't speak English?  To be clear I wish I could laugh but I'm just mortified, absolutely mortified.  Cry

According to the Wall Street Journal, the US president has “expressed interest” in buying the icy territory – the world’s largest island – and has asked his aides to explore the possibility. He has even sought the view of the White House counsel, though the Journal noted his inquiries came “with varying degrees of seriousness”.

The Journal reported that the president raised the issue at a dinner last year in which he said he had heard Denmark was finding its financial support to the self-governing territory burdensome.

Not really surprising. He thinks he can buy  anything/anybody, as if he were playing an amusing game of Monopoly with his family.

Fine give them a dinner but have everyone else stay away ... I guess McDonalds or KFC could be served along with "soda" ... and locate it in a refugee camp

Trump doesn't want to buy it himself, he wants the USA to acquire it.

It isn't the first time the US has thought about purchasing Greenland. The US tried to buy it in 1946 and also made inquiries in 1867.

I can't believe Daisy is putting up with his demands!  US has that big base on Greenland, IMO she has the upper hand.   Tell him to shove it Daisy, or move all his planes.  Champagne

It will be amusing to see how mares gets along with his grifting family.  Birds of a feather and all that  Snare  She and Ivanka can exchange tips on getting free stuff and scamming.

His usual MO is to cause trouble over here, while he's breaking a law over there.  He will say something, do something, tell a big enough lie to get the media misdirected.  With all the scandals breaking, Epstein, Moscow Mitch, the economy tanking and Wall Street melting down every couple of days he needs a misdirection FAST.  HA Probably not going as planned, considering he's the laughing stock of the whole  world.  We're just lucky he hasn't given Alaska back to his puppet master Putin.

Russia & China also want Greenland...............
But tRump is said to be offering Denmark $1.7-trillion for Greenland...............no other person owns an entire continent..........the US citizens will pay for it...somehow he has found a way to bypass Congress (again)...........Nuuk does have a 9-hole golf course.
With all the ice melting it will open new shipping lanes.   Massive minerals and oil that everyone wants.
stay tuned for his next stunt

Well, he can bugger off. It’s not up for sale.

The Danish politicians interviewed on the news today were all much more polite than Trump deserves, politely saying that they had to consider this a joke. A Greenlandish citizen later interviewed was more honest. “Has he lost his mind? You can’t just buy another country”.

This is so rude and insensitive. But then, why am I surprised?

It's all over the news here as well.

I'v not heard anything so utterly absurd from a politician in a while. That's what dangerous insanity looks like. I'm so sorry Denmark, and my Danish friends here.
