Soffia will attend the Dementia forum together with the queen. Perhaps Silvia thinks this is one of the areas for Sofia to focus?

onsdag 15 maj
Närvaro vid Dementia Forum X
Drottningen, Prinsessan Sofia
Plats: Kungliga slottet

The pessimist in me says that the decades of work done by Silvia would be undone very quickly if Sofia got her grubby paws on it. But the question of who will take on Silvia's patronages one day is interesting and I think Sofia will naturally take some on.

Believe it or not and I certainly wouldn't wish any patient, but sometimes these things really turn the most horrible people around. I had a colleague once, who was simple horrible to everyone. I saw her many years later and guess what now she's working in a hospital tending to cancer patients (children). She has totally turned around.

No organization wants Sofia for a patron, so the queen lets her tag along on some occasions... an act of supreme charity on her part, I think

So Sofia is the Queen's newest patronage?

The Queen's bravery should be applauded. To drag that albatross around with you constantly is not for the faint of heart.

She looks so smug here. And my attention wasn't on the youth organisation, it was on the fact that her blazer has a fastener which makes ones stomach look bigger. Guess she's desperate for media attention so she's toying with the "is she pregnant?" thing.  Roll Eyes

Either that's an unflattering dress... or she's pregnant.

It's an unflattering suit.

She aimed for prim and proper but landed at boxy and dowdy.

It's such an insult having her participating in this event. Not because she's swf-inf Madde, but because of her past comments to and about children. It seems patronage earned and worked hard by Silvia, and to an extent Madde, is being handed to sofia because no one wants anything to do with her. It's a slap in the face for these charities and further cheapens the overall image of the Royal family.

If I was on the board of a charity whose patron Snaky wanted to be (especially a children's charity), I would first ask what her qualifications are. What courses and lectures has she attended? What certificates does she hold? Or is it just her life experience that she bases her expertise on? If the latter then no thank you please.
