Really?  I often sit with a foot/feet tucked up underneath me, and I'd never dream of keeping my shoes on when doing so.  Just makes her seem more normal to me!

same here, and if I could walk around barefoot in the office, I would do so. Don't like wearing shoes.

I think her being barfeet was done to add some colloquial elements like "we are like you", to make the interview more intimate than it was.
