Sipping Nescafe from a stained mug in the kitchen every morning became a ritual. Then they took turns making breakfast from Pop Tarts purchased from the all night garage, or nibbled on left over pizza from the Dominos trattoria.

I visited Keswick last summer. It is a truly beautiful part of the world.

Moreso William than Kate, imo. He is the one who brags about not wanting to do these sorts of engagements because everyone loves the Golden One.

I too believe that if William would be doing more Kate would be doing more as well. She seems to be dragging herself down on his level. Though of course it's a very convient excuse for her too.

I wonder. The garden project was hers and hers only and she gave a lot into that project. Whereas in other fields she has to thread carefully to not overtake him.

I think also a problem is William doesn't want to work either, so she isn't going to push to do much more even if she DID want to. She knows which side her bread is buttered. She's been at his beck and call and did what he wished all of her adult life.

She used to do a lot of bread and butter engagements in the beginning years and it made her likable. I miss seeing this:

It's sunshine Kate! Radiant Duchess wows in a yellow dress as she joins husband William at Trooping the Colour birthday celebrations
Quote
The Duchess of Cambridge arrived soon after Meghan Markle to celebrate the Queen's birthday at Trooping the Colour this afternoon, cutting an elegant figure as she paraded a yellow Alexander McQueen dress.Kate donned the zesty pale coat dress with matching petalled fascinator by Philip Treacy as she was driven by chauffeur to Horse Guards Parade this morning.
Her hat was the same one she wore to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding in May last year.

It's the trip to Keswick today. I'm hoping for fine weather, repeated clothing choices and sheep-based photo ops.

Not sure further up North but in the Nidlands and down south the weather is horrible, pouring rain and cold.
