The school half break is next week. I have read that no engagements for William and Kate, as usual when George/Charlotte are on a school break.

Thgey usually go to Anmer Hall during this period, to spend some quality time with the kids. Maybe this year, they will return to France for a sky break. We would get a super cute snow picture, this time with Louis Cute

February is expectely a slower month, shorter and with a school break in the middle.

March will decide if they are indeed stepping up, or loosing steam IMO.

Yep

April—they will either lose all momentum by taking the kids 3 week break completely off or they will turn over a new leaf and work a reduced schedule

I read that they have nothing on their schedule for next week when the kids are on half term. What were previous years numbers for Feb?

According to Gert's Royals, William had 14 across 8 days in February 2019 and Kate had 12 across 6 days. They did a mini-tour of Northern Ireland in February which accounts for about half the engagements.

So I'll look on Gert's again because I'm lazy AF but this will give us a ballpark

2015   William-13 events in 4 days     Kate-7 events in 6 days          William's numbers a because of his tour of Japan from the 26th--28th
2016   William-4 events in 4 days       Kate-6 events in 4 days
2017   William-10 events in 7 days     Kate-9 events in 8 days

Relocated to London Fall 2017 to be FT working royals

2018   William-19 events in 10 days   Kate-18 events in 9 days        Their Sweden in Norway tour continued on the 1st and 2nd
2019   William-14 events in 8 days     Kate-12 events in 6 days
2020   William-9 events in 5 days       Kate-8 events in 4 days          ...and counting as they do still have the week of the 23rd to include in this years tally.

Gert has a weird counting, because it counts their joint events together with their solo events. It can be confusing.

I have checked the Court Circular and according with their record in February 2019, they worked 8 days in a total 17 events:

William: 7 events
Kate: 3 events
Joint 7 events

Comparing with 2020, half way through the month they did 11 events:

William: 3 events
Kate: 2 events
Joint: 6 events

If the break is known they could have padded events before and after. Even have a day of meetings at KP, could be 4 meetings but only 2 hours of their time. But they still have 2.5 weeks left.  And almost everything is announced last minute for them.

OT but I wish we had these weekly totals for ALL of the different Royal families but I don’t know how to do it.

I guess we truly have to see if they are stepping up or not.

I get taking the break with kids,  but unless they go somewhere there's no reason they can't do solo day events (so during the day someone is with kids to enjoy the extra time) or evening events (like normal).  Hell, even if they pad the days leading to a 3 week break I wouldn't see an issue but seriously working less than 7 days a month is so so sad especially when they're expected to be slow so many months of the year: February,  April,  July,  August, September and December every year.
