I imagine most of the people who undertake these roles see them as a stepping stone career wise rather than a long term sinecure. And also I doubt that the remuneration is competitive with what they can get "out in the market" - especially after a couple of years at KP.

I think that's what happens usually - they stay a few years to get the experience and clout of working for royalty then skeaddle to private companies who pay so much more and would want that experience.

The salaries for the staff who work on official engagements comes from the Sovereign Grant. If they raise the salaries something else in the Sovereign Grant allowance will have to be cut but what - engagements or maintenance of the royal palaces?

I don't want to defend anyone, but imo at a lot of time it's so much about the salary you receive, but rather about the company you work for.

I know a big company here, who pays some shit of a shut to it's employees almost treating people like slaves. No one wants to stay there longer, but if you do get around 2/3 years, everything is open to you...because the knew employee will see...Ah, you worked for XY.

Excl: The Cambridges welcome a new 🐶 to their family. The baby girl, another black cocker spaniel like Lupo, is actually Lupo’s niece as she came from a litter bred by Kate’s brother James Middleton.

George and Charlotte helped pick the new puppy last summer & the Cambridges got her at around 8 weeks, before Lupo sadly died. Now she’s 8 months & tearing round Anmer Hall. Such cute puppies that Lupo’s sister Luna

Puppies are so much fun, especially when there are children around. Then they grow into loving dogs ... mine was such a good boy on Thursday when he had to have his vaccinations and I hope he will be as good this coming Thursday when he has to have his teeth cleaned (and it will cost me more than having my own done but he is worth every cent).

I currently have a 3 month old puppy and two small girls, 3 & 5. It’s absolute CHAOS.
