True - but in the video, from the back you will see K.'s hair reaches her shoulder blades. It seems to be shorter front, longer back. If she lopped 2-3 inches all around she'd still have quite a head of hair.
And just to show I'm not picking on Kate, I think quite a few royal ladies could do with a good trim: Mary, Marie, Maxima, and she who must not be named.
Not entirely relevant to what's going on but while watching the Windsor walk about I thought of this as Kate keeps having to fiddle with her hair which appears rather long. Cutting her hair by several inches would be good. Along with doing more business updos when on things like walk abouts. It would add a level of professionalism perfect for her new role. |

I assume you are alluding to his brother's presence today. This is off topic so I'll just say it was appropriate that they were all there. It was a lovely walkabout. I loved seeing William greet a dog scratching both his ears immediately.

Watch the Royal Family stream on youtube of the four doing the walk and they’ve just all got into an SUV to leave and it’s lovely to hear the onlookers speak about their experiences meeting them. Watching the brothers interact with people, it strikes me how utterly hard this life has to be. Your beloved grandmother dies and you have to put on a brave face to greet well wishers while trying to keep your own grief in check. I don’t think I could ever do what they do. I loved seeing William greet a dog scratching both his ears immediately.
That gave me a laugh too! I saw a few people had brought their dogs in the hopes of getting a royal ear scratch  |

I would guess she won’t ever have such psychological pressure again, even when she becomes Queen. For reasons that we cannot discuss. So I also, won’t pick at her now. |

William has come a long way with this events. In the past he looked quite uncomfortable with this walkabouts, imo.
In the last few years he become much more relaxed and quite amazing at it. The dog moment, the talks with the kids... really wonderful to see.

Going forward pinning her hair back or even up might be a good idea on walk abouts so she's not having to brush it back all the time as it moves when she bends to talk to people. |

The hair thing always bemuses me. I’ve had long hair my whole life and never thought I was required to put it up to do anything except scrub the bathroom or cook maybe. I think Catherine can wear her hair however she is comfortable and chooses.
