Princess Elisabeth of Belgium attending? The Belgians are raising her well
ITA. Good for them.

Does anyone know why D/D of Gloucester and Lady Mountbatten were there? Thinking   And according to the official guest list from the cour, Lady Elizabeth Anson was also a "special guest"...

Has anyone seen the Korns?

Star to Lady Adelaide for all the photos.

Korns were there

Presume Lady Mountbatten was representing the Mountbattens, the 1st Earl presumably met GDJ at trooping the colour and possibly when he was in the military - likewise Prince Richard's father, the first Duke would have known him from similar events

The Korns are third row
Ah yes, thanks. Smiley Imre and Katie are both looking down, which is why I didn't notice them.

Thanks also, LadyBunion--I thought it might have something to do with the military.

I understand this may not be appropriate, but may someone tell me why monarchs, and the male members of the Lux royal family are wearing their orders but female monarchs etc are not?

AFAIK it's because of funeral etiquette : only gentlemen wear their decorations and orders, and the ladies wear dark tones with pearl jewellery ( or some diamonds)

Any only the males in uniform are wearing their order...from what I can see.

I am curious: MT is the only royal lady without a hat.  Wonder why?  Isn't protocol to wear a hat at such a high rabking funeral?

It looks a very dignified service. And I have to say, Stephanie looks rather radiant and beautiful.

What row is Tessy in?

I'm not sure what row she was in, but she was close enough to get a snap of the casket going through!   Ranting   Real mad   Nono

The picture of the casket on her instagram is one of the official pictures. She was sitting at the back with the public, she was clearly not invited by the family. The public got invited by Henri and MT, they had approx 400 seats for the public and the public got them on a first come first served basis. They had to register last monday and the places were "sold out" in less than an hour last monday morning. It looks like Tessy's dad got lucky and got in and took Tessy with him (you could only register for 2 places). Tessy did not walk with the family and she did not attend the actual burial that was in the crypt directly after the mass and was strictly family only.
I think it was a nice and very moving ceremony and I loved that all of Henri's siblings and the eldest grandchild from each child were involved.

Also, her young children are there. She should have been invited but I’m starting to realize how tacky the Lux family is.

Blink She couldn't help herself to seek for attention during a tribute that wasn't about her...  Snare I don't know if the casket's picture is hers or a media's (that would be very tacky from her), but she added a little selfie at the end of her IG post of 4 pics.

I noticed former French president Nicolas Sarkozy was present. Don't know if he was representing France.
