Umm . . .  yep. Lord Liebe would have deleted that one. The photog is reeling off shots and only Max's face is in focus. The pictures of the dress on the mannequin are sharp.

It's a lovely dress, when it's not making you squint!

Dinner

she certainly knows how to wear jewelry

The green dress with the matching jewellery is really superb on Max.

With her love for bling bling, but also her ability to wear it she reminds me a lot of the late Queen Mary (of Teck).

Max too has such a personality and posture I think she could wear three necklaces combined with two tiaras and would still look great and not overloaded.

Max looks wonderful here. She has the ability to carry off large jewels that would swamp others. It all works on her and with the gown.

While I love the way Max looks and am in favor of restraint and the less is more look, it would have been fascinating to see either Queen Mary or her mother-in-law Queen Alexandra in full on jewel mode. They were literally dripping with jewels.

Tiara, check
Diamond Necklace  (2 or 3 at least) and/or multiple strand choker with jeweled clasp, check
Multiple ropes of pearls, check
Jeweled Brooches (4 or 5 at least) check
Stomacher set or jeweled bow brooches, check
multiple orders, check
optional hair ornaments, and small brooches to keep sashes in place

They must have been a sight to behold.

I certainly don't envy and I'm happy that the times of French absolutism are gone. But on the other hand just once seeing all those royal ladies with all the bling and wide overloaded dresses and the men in uniforms and decorated like in the old times...this would be so great.

Not anything earth shattering but I love the way they are coordinating here - Willem's tie matches and the blue of the suit is exactly the right shade to go with Max's top and hat.

Max does have serious bling and carries it off with panache.

Oh dear, she looked like she didn't wear bras with both daytime outfits.
To me, it looks as if she had lost weight. Is it a repeat?
Oh my! Her jewellery, and how naturally she wears it.

On the third and last day of their official visit to Ireland, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima arrived in Cork city in south-west Ireland. The King and Queen were welcomed by mayor Cllr Christopher O'Sullivan at City Hall in Cork. Afterwards, The Dutch King and Queen visited Cobh seaport town on the south coast of County Cork. The state visit concluded with a trip to Camden Fort Meagher in Crosshaven.

Maxima and Mathilde must have those plastic shoes in every colour of the rainbow…

Love the Emerald-green dress on the Emerald Island...
