In this photo he looks like he has a "black eye" could be just the lighting, or could be a "forceps delivery" would explain why his head is covered with the "beanie"

I think it's the lighting not bruise.  And most babies are both pink and yellowish when born and then lighten with time.  Might be jaundice but might just be that newborn coloring.

Although if it's jaundice that would follow the "mellow" sleepy baby. As they sleep more.

Plus, the journey out is a bit “squishy” even without assistance, so they can often have a bit of swelling around the eyes and nose. He does look a little yellow, which is perfectly normal at 2-3 days old. I’m sure they have a nurse on hand, or at least daily visits.

Random thought of the day:

Megs has terrible hands.  I'm a hands person; I love a solid set of hands and that hand in the picture is a hard no.

I'll leave now, lol.

I apologize for all my random posts today.  I've had a drink.

Then you won't like my hands either. Small long fingers, and slender palms, but with dry skin, scarring and often broken fingernails.

Welcome to the world little darling, hopefully you will be healthy and happy.
The names are simply awful but each of the own, plus i like how the say no titles but they present him at a royal castle’s gallery sure Jean!!!
It’s stupid to doll up if she evidently was in discomfort like girl do comfy you pass a baby out of your canal no-one is gonna judge you if you go on slacks and ballerinas. She can be a little hypocrite her fan and pr shit talk kate that she was doll up minutes after birth ( not my cup of tea but everyone can do as they please) and then do the same but two days after.
In the plus the do seem happy but she does seems hyper aware of the attention

Agreed - I don't see a bruise at all. I think he looks absolutely perfect given that 48 hours ago he was still in her womb!

All newborn babies look very much like Thomas!

Yes, I don't like the name Archie at all. What was wrong exactly with Archibald Harrison Phillip?

Speaking of Phillip, it was great to see him in the photo yesterday. I would have liked to hear his take on Archie as a name . . .

So I know they've declined titles for him for now, but he will still inherit Harry's title of Duke of Sussex right? If so why all the fuss now?

If they really mean for him to lead a 'private life' give up your titles too - Princess Anne did it right, not taking any at marriage at all.
