The Duchess of Sussex was wearing Dior and the Duchess of Cambridge was in Stella McCartney for Archie’s christening today. Two photographs taken by Chris Allerton in the Green Drawing Room and the Rose Garden at Windsor Castle have been released.

Quote
This morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son. They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment.

Their Royal Highnesses feel fortunate to have enjoyed this day with family and the godparents of Archie.

Their son, Archie, was baptised wearing the handmade replica of the royal christening gown which has been worn by royal infants for the last 11 years. The original Royal Christening Robe, made of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin, was commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1841 and first worn by her eldest daughter. It was subsequently worn for generations of Royal christenings, including The Queen, her children and her grandchildren until 2004, when The Queen commissioned this handmade replica, in order for the fragile historic outfit to be preserved, and for the tradition to continue.

Are those Diana's sisters?  Gotta keep pushing the Spencer connection after all.  And white for a christening...Lord no originality.  Black and white again; so we still don't have a color close up of Archie (though he looks like he's doing very well in the color picture).

This Harkle Debacle has given me a whole new respect for Will. His expression is priceless.  Laugh bounce

Yes, William is my new hero. For all his faults he seems to be the only person seeing through Meghan.

Archie is one cute cherub and reminds me a lot of Harry as a baby.
I am beginning to wonder if this was a "private affair" because they couldn't get many "important" people to go because they weren't interested/couldn't be bothered?

I remember when they tried to alter William's face in the wedding pictures for Edward and Sophie because he looked so glum and not happy and excited like everyone else. After all they had to try and pretend.

They waved the white flag on this one
