I think a lot of the animosity too has caused by how public they were. If they wanted a completely private lifestyle, why the huge wedding that cost the taxpayers millions, during which homeless people were moved on to make Windsor and the streets "look nice"? Why did Harry keep his title, and gain a dukedom? Why carry out engagements on behalf of the Royal family if you want a private lifestyle? They are no better than the average benefit cheats we have in Britain, who want all the money and niceties without having to work/pay for it.
As Marie Antoinette learned to her horror, you cannot have your cake and eat it, because revolution will happen!

I think she can't take criticism. Plus she wanted the attention and then, when she started to be criticised, she lost interest and got him to change, too. She is clearly the boss, he just follows .... People will lose interest and they will fade into the background which will suit Wills and Kate just fine ....

That's precisely her main problem. Well summarized in one sentence.  Star Yes

Meghan isn't the only one who can't take criticism. Her husband (and brother in law for that matter) is well known for his own lack of thick skin

It's why the Sussex marriage is such a public disaster because Meghan and Harry are so much alike in their bad characteristics. There is nothing to balance things out and keep things from crashing.

Do we really think they'll fade into the background though? I feel like the American media, ever since H&M's relationship was announced a few years ago, has gone crazy with excitement at an American woman becoming a real-life princess. I don't see them letting up on fan-girling all over Princess Sparkles. I really, really hope they do. Maybe it's just because I'm in Canada and we get so many American tv channels but I feel like I hear about her an awful lot. Maybe I think I hear more about her because I don't want to be hearing about her, I'm extra-sensitive to it.

Does this remind you of 2 years ago? We had Harry begging the press, to lay off his girlfriend, then a few months later she appears in Vogue gushing" we're in love, this is a special time for us," blah, blah, blah. They make a lot of noise about their privacy, but as soon as they start feeling ignored, bam goes another "it's all about me" reminder.
And as far as the cover of Vogue, why couldn't she pick royal women like Letizia, Maxima Vic, Princess Anne, Sophie (Not snake) and others. But I guess it's not what Vogue is about. But that would have been more appropriate, IMO.

Canadian here as well and I get what you're saying. I think I'm extra sensitive about it and some of her stans are just awful with the noise. I've blocked a lot of them on twitter which makes it much better honestly. I still think they will divorce and she's setting up her future life quite well. American media will call her Princess Meghan and she'll have her own show on OWN I'm sure.

You're right to block a lot of them - the majority knew absolutely nothing about the BRF before she got involved with Harry, and they still don't know how things work now, they're just focused on the fact that a biracial, divorced American woman became a princess. And they've bought into the PR persona she has carefully created for herself. Her stans are the worst.

The US media will never let up on it, but if QEII dies within the next few years ( possible) Then Charles coronation will quite publically establish how far down the pecking order Haz and Megs actually are.
