It was so clear that Harry had no clue who Princess Margriet was when he arrived at first. That's pretty embarrassing IMO. Yes I'm sure it will be said he was distracted by the baby but not knowing who a member of the country you are in's RF is and a supporter of the games is just unprofessional.

For real? Royal or not the first thing I do, before meeting persons I don't know about is asking about their names and functions. And I do this prior to meeting them, so that there won't be an embarrassing/awkward moment of And who're you exactly? When standing in front of them. Surely everyone can be bothered with this research also some upper titled and super delusional prince.

The Wales boys are so thoroughly disrespectful and unprofessional that I am never surprised when an incident like this comes up involving them. For the life of me I don't know how Charles and Diana could raise such utter boors. Even Randy Andy is not this disgraceful when it comes to engagements.

Do we know if had a binder when he landed. Cos Imelda carried a binder for the Australian tour which apparently made her a genius. So if Harry wasn't carrying a binder, that's how he didn't know who this random royal was. You can't blame him. I blame his handlers. And his guards. And Margaret herself. Also QE2 (she had a sister called Margaret). Please continue to add to the list of people who should be blamed, besides HazMat. Also not Imelda's fault because she gave birth to Jesus 2 and doesn't have time to pull the binder together.

Most reigning (and non-reigning) European royal families know who is who and / because they socialize. Not the case wih the BRF. If what was said is true, that's what happened with W&K's wedding guests ,"Why would they invite people they don't even know?". In the end, royals were invited to this wedding because. But H & M put their feet down and did it their way: no royals they don't know ( well, he is one of the Q's grandchildren,OK), no family he or she doesn't know).Starry wedding and fireworks.

I have no doubt Harry hasn't a clue who half the Royals in Europe are as they never mix or socialise. But this was an official event for Harry's Invictus Games which Margariet is a chair of the recommendation board for the upcoming games next year - i.e an official for Invictus.
This isn't just a case of not recognising a foreign royal but not recognising someone who is working for his charity games.
But hey he is Harry and can do no wrong right.

It's weird. Harry's stans tell us that his role in Invictus isn't just as a figurehead but that he is intimately involved in its inner workings. And yet he doesn't know the people involved with Invictus. Lol.

If it's going well than he's intimately involved but if anything goes wrong or there's any bad press then he's just a figurehead. Stan logic.

It is his damm job to know who he is going to meet, so no excuse her. He isn't a ppor working dad who has to help his wife with the newborn, they got tons of staff and her mother to help them, so having a baby is no excuse for not being prepared for work. If he doesn't want to do his job in an acceptable way (= prepare for his events) he needs to step down and leave the RF. His cousin Bea seems to want to be a working royal, so let her be, pay her and let Harry and his family live as private people without the perks and money from the public. Easy. But if he insists on continuing to be a working royal, he needs to do his job properly and not like this.

Exactly. Their whining " I wannabe an ordinary citizen, I have my rights" and the contradictory " Oh, remember I am who I am, I owe it to my country and my country OWES it to me". They find themselves more comfortable in their celebrity role, but they should make a choice. And a few members of the BRF do great ,or just their jobs and hardly get any recognition.Makes you wonder.

Not surprised here, with them it‘s all about celebrity now, not royalty. The handlers they (Meghan) hired know nothing about royalty/protocol. And it shows.

ITA It's simple politeness to know, who you're meeting. Even the lowest of the lowest of the peasant, who has to support his children and family on his own, manages to do this. I really don't see any problem of why a high over privileged prince can't be bothered.

How do we know they din't know each other? It doesn't surprise me, starting from the Queen Mum who demanded she was more royal than the royals, they have been neglecting their compatriots and family on the continent. Remember William and Kate ignoring Felipe despite William growing up holidaying with the Spanish RF and them ignoring Daniel and Victoria as well at the Olympics! It's appalling considering the closeness some members of their family have with other royals.
