In MO's instagram, I saw another photo with a graduation hat and a different outfit from her original post. Did she buy the hat in order to shoot multiple photos or the students are allowed to keep their hats?
You're allowed to keep the cap. I have the caps from my bachelor's and master's degrees somewhere at my parents. You only rent the gown and hood. They don't regulate what you wear underneath the gown but those photos of her posing with the gown open are so tasteless. It's supposed to be formal dress. Not something you open off and drape off yourself. So tacky. Especially with the outfit underneath.
So utterly tacky.
Thank you,I didn't know. Here, the uni has the hats and the ceremonial gowns (each uni in different colour), they are provided for the graduation ceremony only. We have to sign in a paper when we take them and then again when we give them back, in the end of the ceremony.
Decorating your cap fo graduation has also become very popular since most people do end up buying them outright. I majored in education, so me and my classmates all decorated ours to reflect that we would be teachers. Mine was a Captain America shield that says "I teach, what's your superpower?" signed by all the kids in the class I student taught. People get really creative with them! I'm surprised Olympia didn't decorate hers, I'm sure it would say something tacky.
