Showing my ignorance here, but doesn't someone who is a "guest editor" know something about editing/publishing?

Not always.  Kate did the Huffington Post day and I think both Charles and Harry did something...Charles maybe related to architecture or gardening.  The thing here is that Meghan is the first person to ever (IIRK) guest edit and Vogue, she asked to guest edit after being offered the cover (saw the cover as being to me, me, me or in her words "boasting"), and her guest editing has been a pretty big flop (political tones and would have been better to highlight regular women).  Really when the day is over this guest editing thing will have just as much impact as their Instagram flavors of the month...ie. ZERO impact...regardless of what the Stans say.

And of course Meghan can't seem to understand that Vogue wasn't interested in her as a person but as HRH The Duchess of Sussex ie. Harry's wife.  His wife would had been offered a cover regardless of who she was, fashion houses would want her, as well as celeb "friends"...Meghan is not the draw.  If guest editing was how Vogue was going to get HRH The Duchess of Sussex then they would have done an edition on basically anything.

"Shining a light in a world of darkness." My God, does anyone seriously talk or write like that? Sounds like the New Testament.. Would someone please this lady to put a sock in it.

That is better than the New Testament, that's the First Book of the New Prophet Imelda, founder of the "Holy Church of Virtue-Signaling, Game Changing Marie Antoinettes 4.0".

Just that the stan peasants don't even get cake, but are forced to buy VOGUE first (modern form of indulgence fee - "buy one and feel relieved by inspiration"), just to find out that they can't afford the frocks in there and then are re-directed to Meghans Mirror to buy similar-looking "copies" (x% of each purchase gets donated to the new Sussex Foundation).

And please make sure that you shine that light with Jo Malone home candles (GBP 49/piece, use the link on Meghans Mirror, too), because the more expensive the light, the quicker the darkness lifts ...

Umm, yes, that is New Testament. Several places. Couple of times in the Book of John, and again from Paul in at least one of the Epistles. Seriously . . . . really seriously, I've listened to (or read) thousands of sermons - no preacher I've heard or read, even the ones just starting out, has ever been that trite.

Next she'll be telling us she is the "voice in the wildernes" like John the Baptist.  Snore

Ohhhhhh I want to see her in camels hair and eating locusts and wild honey. I'd pay cash money for that!

Dior designed and made camels hair does not count . . . will have to be a weekend as locusts might not be vegetarian . . . .

I don't think the marriage is going to last.

I agree, and that makes me sad.  I always liked Harry, for all his faults and poor choices, I liked him and wanted him to be happy, and I believed he'd eventually grow up.  I know a lot of you saw through Meghan from the start, but I truly believed that she loved him and would "use her powers for good".  I thought it was great that she was used to public speaking, to being photographed, to working with many different people.  She wouldn't be hiding from the cameras; she'd be an asset for him in promoting his work and charities.

I was never a full-on sugar, but yes, I liked them and was happy for them.

Well, many things have caused me to take off the rose-colored glasses with Archie's baptism and this stupid Vogue cover being the final straws.  Unless many drastic changes are made, I'm finished with them.  What a waste.  They could be doing so much good.   No

It is sad for Harry. I liked her until the Vogue "we're in love" interview. I thought that was really over the top, something I believe which neither Chelsy nor Cressida would have dreamed of doing. They weren't engaged at that point, and I wonder if it forced Harry's hand some. The engagement interview was something else too. "Didn't know much about Harry."Sure.

Regarding the bolded, I raised my eyebrows and thought the same as you.  But I still wanted to believe, just figured, well, she doesn't understand all the protocol, and that will change if/when they marry....  Yeah, right.   Snare

Well given the way she acted at the Premier of the Lion King, she clearly doesn't understand that she's not the draw. Her title is. Her Husband is. And am I imagining things of was Michelle Obama very disapproving of this ?

There needs to be a TL;DR for that editor letter because it’s so painful to read.
I can’t believe she asked to be a guest editor. Face palm moment there!

Also what is her obsession with freckles? I’m sorry if I’m naive to this but I’ve seen her mention it so much in relation to her ethnicity. I’m not here to create a discussion on race as this isn’t the right forum, I’m just curious if freckles aren’t common in mixed raced women or something? Not sure why she purposefully mentions it a lot?

I’m glad I’m not the only one that got that vibe.  No to a meet just answering questions by email (feeling that she or her people didn’t even allow follow up questions).  Very “supportive” but distant like she knew there could be trouble either way.
