Didn’t the Queen and Philip sit apart everywhere but for BP state dinners?
Pretty sad that she doesn’t trust him to talk to other women over a group meal. Or that one can’t survive without the other for the time it takes to eat a single meal. What was that about strong women?
Megs is just afraid the a) People find out how dumb she is b) People tell Harry over dinner one or two things about her that might not be so nice.

Well to be fair to Sofia she never created that high profile intelligent woman image around her. She wants to come across as the girl next door, you can have fun with and this is much closer to her real personality. This is of course much easier to live by. Whereas Megs simply created a new personality for herself.

And to be honest nobody can manage that, each person has his or her own set of flaws, mistakes and so. Often it is just that, that makes a person interesting. Meghan has stop over pretending to be someone or something she isn't.

Is it because she was an actress and used to playing different people and having to play the celeb game in LA and doesn't even know who she is? At 37 she should have an idea at least.

sorry. it's hard for me to believe much of anything that's written in the news about meghan (or harry for that matter). seems the articles keep getting more and more ridiculous and the media keeps publishing this stuff because it gets lots of hits and people go ballistic in the comments section.
just heard today that the articles about h&m having made all these demands about what the people of windsor can and cannot do because of them was a spoof. of course, that didn't come out until after all of the nasty articles and comments since the media doesnt seem to check to find out if anything is true. and not just about them, but about others things. the media and journalism is dead. i read everything w/ a grain of salt -- esp. when it comes to controversial people.

Interesting thought. This could very well play a part in it.

Sitting spouses apart at formal events is considered the norm if you've read any etiquette books on the subject. It is so that they mingle/socialize as two spouses sitting together may limit conversation with other guests and it's considered very impolite to do so at formal events.
This is a thing in the US/Canada at formal events too.

Interesting thought. This could very well play a part in it. At the heart of it all, Meghan is a narcissist. Everything she does flows from this, it is the core that informs her being.

This is particularly the case in August when there is virtually nothing else to report as there are no engagements taking place. Any that are taking place are behind closed doors e.g. 12th August saw the Queen have a meeting with the retired GG of Australia who also meet with Charles and Camilla. This is simply a courtesy call by the outgoing GG and, as usual, no media coverage.

And... This idiocy again : High Lord of Bullsh*t, please give strength to endure the reading of this delusional word salad. "Meghan Markle is shortlisted for this incredible Ethnicity Award"https://www.marieclaire.c...eghan-markle-award-665445As the first African-American member of the royal family, Meghan Markle’s ethnicity has been making headlines since she started dating Prince Harry. However, this might be the most exciting news surrounding her biracial background yet, as the Duchess of Sussex is named as one of the contenders for an HSBC UK Ethnicity Award. Shortlisted in the category ‘Inspirational Public Figure’, Meghan is up against the likes of Alesha Dixon, Dev Patel, Gemma Chan, Idris Elba, Lenny Henry, Naomi Campbell, Steve McQueen, Thandie Newton and will.i.am. ‘The 2019 Ethnicity Awards works to promote the achievements of ethnic minorities and strives to improve lack of representation,’ said Sarah Garrett, founder of the Ethnicity Awards. ‘In the current social climate, it’s imperative to advocate and celebrate the positive impact of ethnic minorities in the UK.’ ‘It’s great to see so many celebrities, influencers, brands and politicians’ commitment to raising awareness, and who work so hard to improve equality,’ she continued. ‘It is great that Meghan Markle is on the shortlist too, she is an incredible role model for women and girls all over the world.’ The news of Meghan’s nomination comes days after Prince Harry spoke out about ‘unconscious racism’ in British Vogue. ‘Despite the fact that if you go up to someone and say, “What you’ve just said, or the way you’ve behaved, is racist” – they’ll turn around and say, “I’m not a racist,” he mentioned during a conversation with Dr Jane Goodall. The Duke of Sussex concluded: ‘I’m not saying you’re a racist, I’m just saying that your unconscious bias is proving that because of the way that you’ve been brought up, the environment you’ve been brought up in, suggests that you have this point of view – unconscious point of view – where naturally you will look at someone in a different way.’ The second edition of the Ethnicity Awards is taking place in London on October 25. The organisers of the ceremony are reportedly in talks with Kensington Palace to discuss the Sussexes’ attendance, so let’s cross our fingers Meghan makes an appearance.I almost wish she makes an appearance so she can be properly booed. Marie Claire just loose all credibility as a magazine for women and for women empowerment. She did nothing for any humanitarian or nature protection causes !!!

Hold up, didn't these prats say Harry couldn't attend the military event in favor of Lion King because his schedule was agreed months and months in advance. So how does this event suddenly jump the queue for consideration? Also, to the organizers of this event, considering this Deal or No Deal veteran for an award on the basis of who she married is an insult to all the ethnic women who hustle everyday for their families. You are pandering.
