sorry CS, everytime this thread popps up I immediately think of the Leopold (what ever number he was) and the cruelty he commited to the natives in his avarice to grab land in the Congo. Dead

It's this Leopold.  The second.  And to think he was the son of Victoria's revered Uncle Leopold, and her first cousin.  Such a different kind of monarch and parent!

King Leopold II is also the first cousin of Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
