Any word on the plot or any story lines for this upcoming movie?

We know it will be out next March
We know most of the main cast will be back
We know Dominic West is a new character  Dead
We know filming wrapped last month

That’s about it:  https://www.cinemablend.c...-we-know-about-the-sequel

Dominic West of the flexible approach to marital fidelity?

The very same.

I am looking forward to the movie but have yet to see him add anything onscreen I’ve seen him in.

IMO the last movie did not reach the complexity of the series (well, to be fair, it could not). At the end of the series so many things had happened - all the girls married, Carson retired, ... They need to undo something to get a proper plot.

There are some open ends:

One is Daisy: why all the education when she continues to be junior cook at the abbey? What about Daisys settling down and marrying Andy anda eventually retire to the farm?

Tom needs to get married, too. Most likely to Lucy.

Edith was pregnant, so she needs to give birth or to be a mom again.

I feel sorry what happened to Molesley in the last movie, that needs to be rectified.

Sadly I don't think Maggie Smith will be available for Downton 3, so she needs to part.

I thought Mosely was a teacher at the local school and came to the abbey to be an extra set of hands when the king and queen visited. I also got the hint that him and Baxter (Cora's lady's maid) may have had a romance. Maggie's character said she had cancer in the movie so she may not be around. I could be cool if the plot of the next movie was about two weddings--Daisy's and Tom's.

I guess we will see Tom and Daisy married - they are the last ones left to be married. Then everyone is happy ever after. We will see.

Mosely is a teacher now and helps out at the Abbey when they need extra help.

I would love to see Molesely and Baxter married!  She became one of my favorite characters...so gentle and gracious!

And a very strong character. To hide her secret so well and be willing to accept the consequences of non-disclosure was very impressive.

It was good of Lady Cora to keep Baxter as her maid after she had learned of Baxter's past.

I love Baxter!

I’d also love to see Thomas happy but I know that’s not realistic for the time period.

True Cyril, but she made her sweat it out, which I thought a little excessive. It all turned out well in the end though.

Yes, Baxter and Molesely need to get married, too. I did not like the way they portrait Molesely in the movie, I hope they improve.

Did you like the scene where Princess Mary, Viscountess Lascelles had invited Lady Cora and her daughters to tea?

It was extremely sad, with Mary covering up for her supremely stodgy, indifferent and selfish husband. And sadder still when her parents forced her to stay with him.

Viscount Lascelles was upset that his sons George and Gerald were in the room.
