The red leather pants? I think I read here that in Spain, her look would be considered appropriate and professional.

I'm not a fan of leather like this for professional events, but I understand Spain has its own fashion and might be a little less conservative than in other countries.

For the record, I used to wear a black suede skirt just above the knee, with tights, in the 90s. I felt professional. Of course I was in my 20s at the time.

We just saw a female minister wore a green leather-like dress at a much more formal event (attended by Felipe in London) than this one two days ago.

Nothing to do with professional or unprofessional but I am not a big fan of leather trousers on people other than models. These ones, for me, have too many seams and I prefer the longer length. Maybe with a white shirt.

I don't mind leather skirts but for some reason I can't warm to leather pants.  At any rate, these are horribly unflattering on the side view!

Leti has always been obsessed with leather clothes for whatever reasons.  She bought this whole red set including jacket, skirt and pants from HB. I'm just glad it's not black. I have become allergic to seeing her head to toe black with excessive fake (bronze) tan.

I always imagine that leather trousers would give one an extremely sweaty crotch area. I can’t see the attraction at all.

Her leather trousers were loose fit  . The soft lambkin trousers I have are not uncomfortable.

I quite like this red ensemble. It's very polished, streamlined, and contemporary.
I think it's a professional look. In my industry, this would be considered dressy and business like.

I thought the only thing that could've made the ensemble bad was if she wore leather leggings instead.

Lol, yes. And Mary is still winning the “best recent styling of a green suit” competition in my mind, though I’m willing to consider more entrants. They’ve all gone for the same “expensive blowout intended to look effortlessly youthful” hairdo, which is a shame.

Letizia gains points for the nice shoes, and loses points for the blouse that accentuates how painfully thin she is.

Leti probably saw Kate's picture in Hola, said 'Hey, I also have a teal suit'  . 
Leti has this flat hair parted in the middle forever  . Never really like it, but it worked better with a suit this time.
