The family has arrived in Oviedo. Letizia is wearing a recycled grey dress, her hair in an updo. The girls look lovely, Leonor in a coat and dress and Sofia in a dress. They have greeted the people before greeting the authorities. Felipe took Sofia to one side, Letizia took Leonor to the other. Very impressive crowd.

(I admit this is by far my favorite royal family, so beware, this post is nothing but sugar.)

Those girls handled the walk about better than royals more than twice their age. I was cracking up watching Sofía zoom ahead of her father with the confidence of an experienced politician.

Love the outfits, love the Princess’ coat, love Sofía in orange, love Letis dress, love how the family is coordinated but the girls are in the bright colors, and I especially love that Felipe and Leti are doing this.

(My only quibble so far is that Leti’s hair is losing its fight against the wind.)

It's so great that they're taking the girls with them and that Leo will give two speeches!!! I'm really anticipating to watch her speaking in public, I remember that the previous time she did it, she was remarkably good!

The Victory Cross (Cruz de la Victoria) is an early 10th century Asturian jewelled cross, given by King Alfonso III of Asturias to Cathedral of San Salvador of Oviedo. It is the symbol of the Principality of Asturias.
